The 1st Congress of Delegates of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command Party Committee, term 2025-2030

On July 21-22, the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term, with the participation of 120 outstanding delegates representing the Party members of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

Attending and directing the congress were Colonel Tran Van Le, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Border Guard; Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command.

Colonel Tran Viet Hung, Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command for the 2025-2030 term.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command has led the synchronous implementation of border management and protection measures in accordance with the law and international agreements.

The provincial Border Guard has proactively grasped and forecasted the situation, strictly managed the area, organized patrols, controlled, and maintained political security and social order in the border area.

During the term, the entire force conducted more than 5,145 patrols with more than 19,255 participants; completed immigration procedures for more than 127,000 people and nearly 5,000 vehicles; handled 1,121 ships with more than 23,000 crew members, and imported and exported goods reached over 24.9 million tons.

The Border Guard force independently investigated and handled 1,599 cases, prosecuting 187 cases against 202 subjects related to drugs.

Effectively maintaining 170 self-managed security and order teams and 129 solidarity boat teams. Social security work was promoted with a total value of over 5.5 billion VND through typical models such as: Helping children go to school, Adopted children of Border Guard Station, Compassionate Tet, Border Guard Spring...

Party building work is focused on improving the leadership capacity of Party committees and organizations throughout the unit.

The Congress identified three breakthrough tasks for the new term. First, improving the capacity to forecast, evaluate and effectively implement border management and protection.

The Congress voted to approve documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress and draft political reports from all levels.

Second, build a solid national border defense foundation. Third, promote administrative reform, digital transformation, and ensure discipline and regularity throughout the force.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quoc Tuan, Chief of Bu P'rang Border Guard Station, gave a speech discussing solutions to improve the effectiveness of border foreign affairs work.

The Congress announced the decision of the Party Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command to appoint 15 comrades to the Executive Committee; 5 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command, term 2025 - 2030.

Colonel Tran Viet Hung, Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command for the 2025-2030 term.

Thanh Hai Political Commissar Tran Duong Khanh, Thanh Hai Border Guard Station, discussed the work of propaganda and mobilization of the people and advised the local Party Committee to coordinate with the border guards to effectively resolve issues at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the congress, Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, assessed: The Border Guard has a long tradition of building, fighting and growing, always closely attached to the people, contributing to firmly protecting sovereignty, border security, seas and islands. Our country is entering a "New Era - The Era of national growth". The whole country is entering the initial stage of operating a 2-level local government system; in the army, the project of organizing the army "Elite, compact, strong" is continued to be implemented, merging, dissolving, establishing new organizations, etc.

The Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to regularly and thoroughly grasp the Party's resolutions and directives, especially Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the National Border Protection Strategy; proactively propose to the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command policies and measures in managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of borders, seas and islands.

The entire force effectively implemented border control work, strictly inspected and controlled people and vehicles entering and leaving border areas, sea areas and islands. The Party Committee and the Command Board innovated and improved the effectiveness of border gate management and immigration control in a modern direction, applying information technology; promoted administrative procedure reform associated with digital transformation to ensure strictness and transparency; reviewed and proposed investment in modern equipment and techniques to serve border gate work.
