The 1st Government Party Congress was a great success.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Government is determined to build a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

After 2 days of urgent, serious, responsible, enthusiastic and effective work, on the afternoon of October 13, the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030, completed all program contents and was a great success.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: The Government is determined to build a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects; contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

During the two days of the Congress, with a high sense of responsibility and seriousness, the delegates focused on summarizing and evaluating the results of the 2020-2025 term; determining the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; and at the same time discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

Along with the group discussion, there were 13 presentations in the hall raising many current and fundamental issues on Party building and all aspects of socio-economic development.

In particular, the Congress was honored to welcome General Secretary To Lam to attend and give a speech. The Congress passed the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The Congress heard the announcement of the Politburo's Decision appointing the Government Party Delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress, including 70 official delegates and 12 alternate delegates.

The Congress was honored to welcome General Secretary To Lam and leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, leaders of central and local departments, ministries and branches.

In particular, General Secretary To Lam gave profound and comprehensive instructions and strategic orientations for the activities of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the Prime Minister, promoting the spirit of solidarity, democracy, intelligence, high responsibility and thoroughly grasping the direction of General Secretary To Lam, the Congress discussed, analyzed, evaluated, and comprehensively reviewed the leadership, direction, administration and organization of implementation of tasks and solutions in all fields during the 2020-2025 term; discussed draft documents and the Party Committee's Action Program for the 2025-2030 term and voted to pass the Congress Resolution.

According to Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Congress unanimously affirmed that for the 2020-2025 term, in the context of more difficulties and challenges than opportunities and advantages; In line with the spirit of "The Party has directed, the Government is unified, the National Assembly agrees, the people support, the Fatherland expects, then only discuss and act, not retreat", the Party Committee of the Government has focused on leading and directing the Government, affiliated Party Committees, and agencies in the state administrative system to make outstanding efforts, "turning danger into opportunity", "turning nothing into something, turning difficulty into ease, turning the impossible into possible", contributing with the whole country to achieve important, comprehensive, and outstanding results in all fields, from Party building to preventing and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, developing the economy, culture, society, improving people's lives, protecting the environment, strengthening national defense and security, promoting foreign affairs, and international integration, which are highly appreciated by the people of the whole country and the international community.

The Prime Minister said that the Resolution of the Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term reflects the aspirations and will of the Government Party in the new term with the determination to "Build a clean and strong Government Party; unite, be exemplary in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerate breakthroughs, develop the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising to wealth, prosperity, civilization, and happiness"; focus on leading and directing the drastic, synchronous, and effective implementation of the set goals and targets and 4 groups of solutions on Party building; 8 groups of solutions on socio-economic development; 2 groups of solutions on national defense, security, and foreign affairs; 6 key tasks on strategic breakthroughs.

Among them, regarding Party building work, focus on building a clean and strong Government Party Committee; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees, Party organizations and cadres and Party members; consolidate and build solidarity within the entire Party Committee; build a contingent of cadres, especially key cadres, who are truly exemplary in political mettle, qualities, capacity and prestige, equal to the task; strengthen inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline in conjunction with preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

Regarding the implementation of political tasks, focus on leading and directing the synchronous, drastic and effective implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the breakthrough policies of the Politburo and the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress; firmly maintain the goal of stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances of the economy; promote average GDP growth to reach 10%/year or more.

Along with that, we need to continue to improve institutions and laws; develop a synchronous and modern infrastructure system and high-quality human resources; strongly promote industrialization, modernization, economic restructuring, establish a new growth model, develop breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; focus on cultural and social fields, environmental protection, improve people's lives; continue to consolidate and strengthen national defense and security; ensure social order and safety; improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs and international integration; maintain a peaceful and stable environment for rapid and sustainable national development.

The Congress assigned the Government Party Standing Committee for the 2025-2030 term to absorb the opinions of delegates attending the Congress for supplementation, especially the direction of General Secretary To Lam to complete the resolution, officially promulgate it and urgently organize its widespread implementation throughout the Party.

To resolutely, synchronously and effectively implement the set goals and tasks, on behalf of the Presidium and the Congress, the Party Secretary and the Prime Minister called on Party committees at all levels, Party organizations and the entire contingent of cadres and Party members of the Government Party Committee to continue to inherit and promote the glorious traditions and achievements of previous terms; always unite, join forces and be of one mind; with mettle, confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening and the spirit of constant innovation, creativity and breakthrough efforts; determined to build a clean and strong Government Party Committee; contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
