For cancer patients, the situation is even more difficult when their families are affected by the storm. At the K Hospital, there are 235 patients being treated, all of whom are from families living in provinces and cities that were heavily affected by the storm, such as Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh , Thanh Hoa, etc.
At the Quan Su Treatment Facility, 15 patients were supported; at Tam Hiep Facility 2: 30 cases; at Tan Trieu Facility: 190 cases.
Previously, at the Relay Race organized by K Hospital in coordination with other units on the morning of October 12, the hospital joined hands to share 300 million VND to support people affected by the storm.
Patient Tran Ngoc Ch., 73 years old from Thai Nguyen , who is being treated for prostate cancer at the Department of Urology, shared: “My family was greatly affected by the recent storm. All the trees fell down, the entire first floor of my house was submerged in water, and everything was damaged. If I stay in the hospital for a long time, I will have to worry about a lot of expenses. Now that my house is damaged, I am even more worried and eager to go home.”
Through practical actions, the Bright Tomorrow Fund and K Hospital have been paying attention and sharing with patients in difficult circumstances who are suffering the consequences of storms No. 10 and 11. Patients and their families will feel more secure and warm, overcoming this difficult period./.
