Speaking at the opening of the congress, Mr. Ly Minh Thai - Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Director of the Department of Health emphasized: The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Department of Health, term 2025-2030 is a Congress: Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development. The congress called on all party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole industry to uphold the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, proactiveness, creativity, contributing talents and intelligence to strive to successfully implement the targets and tasks for the 2025-2030 term.
The Party Committee of the Department of Health has 1 Party Committee and 11 affiliated Party cells. The entire Party Committee has 271 Party members (as of March 10, 2025), including 263 official Party members; 8 probationary Party members and 1 temporary Party member. By March 26, 2025, the Party Committee of the Department of Health under the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee was established on the basis of the Party Committee of the Department of Health and received Party members from the Party Committee of the Provincial General Hospital and the Party Committee of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. The Party Committee of the Department of Health has 2 Party Committees and 10 affiliated Party cells with 473 Party members.
During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Executive Committee has always been united and unified in leadership and direction; cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers trust in the leadership of the Department of Health Party Committee; uphold the sense of responsibility, constantly study to improve professional qualifications, overcome difficulties to successfully complete assigned tasks.
During the past term, the sector has implemented well disease prevention and control measures in the province, many dangerous infectious diseases have been controlled and pushed back, gradually controlling social diseases and dangerous epidemics. Expanded vaccination work has been seriously implemented in localities in the province. International Health Quarantine work has been conducted to regularly monitor infectious diseases and risk factors to public health according to regulations.
HIV/AIDS prevention and control work has been well implemented, controlling the HIV/AIDS infection rate in the community at 0.15/1,000 people. Every year, the number of newly detected cases is on average 60-70 cases, all infected cases are managed with ARV treatment and issued Health Insurance cards according to regulations.
The work of preventing and combating malnutrition in children is carried out throughout the province, providing nutritional counseling for pregnant mothers and mothers with young children, contributing to improving the situation of malnutrition in mothers and children in the area. The sector also effectively implements the prevention and combat of non-communicable diseases; environmental protection; school health; food safety; reproductive health care; population-family planning; management of medical practice and ensuring medical examination and treatment, emergency care, updating and using advanced techniques, creating breakthroughs, bringing many benefits to patients...
During the period of 2020-2025, the Department of Health organized centralized drug bidding at the local level in the periods of 2021-2022, 2023-2024 and 2025-2026. The drug bidding results basically met the treatment needs of people in the province.
During the term, 106 new party members were admitted, reaching 22.4%, exceeding the target set by the Congress Resolution (target 6%). Reviewing and screening the party members is also carried out regularly.
At the congress, delegates focused on discussing the content related to the Political Report submitted to the Congress of Party Delegates of the Department of Health for the 2025-2030 term, and the Report reviewing the leadership of the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Speaking at the congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the achievements of the Gia Lai Health Sector in the past term. Despite the outbreak of the epidemic and many difficulties, the provincial Health Sector has strived to fulfill its assigned tasks, achieving many remarkable and commendable results.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich suggested that the Health sector continue to develop specific action programs, develop annual programs for the Party Committee and its affiliated Party Cells. In particular, develop a roadmap for stage development, especially implementing the project to develop the health sector system, ensuring the human resources of doctors. In addition, the sector needs to focus on implementing the Party's 5 leadership methods; in which, pay attention to Inspection and supervision work ; leadership, direction and organization and personnel work to contribute to building a team of cadres to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
At the Congress, delegates listened to a report summarizing comments on documents at higher levels; discussed and voted on the main targets of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Department of Health, term 2025-2030 and approved the draft full text of the Congress Resolution and the Congress voted on the full text of the Resolution.
