Attending the congress were comrades: Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments and branches and 177 delegates of the Binh Gia Commune Party Committee.
Binh Gia Commune Party Committee was established on the basis of merging the Party Committees of 3 communes including Binh Gia town, Hoang Van Thu commune and Mong An commune (formerly belonging to Binh Gia district). The commune Party Committee currently has 52 Party organizations with more than 1,579 Party members.
During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people in the three communes have promoted the tradition of solidarity, exploited potentials and strengths to strive to effectively implement the goals and targets set out in the resolution. In particular, the Party Committee of the commune has achieved and exceeded 17/20 set targets.
The work of building the Party and the political system has been directed, consolidated and improved; the methods of operation of the Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations have had many positive changes. The local economy continues to develop, social security is concerned, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved and enhanced. National defense and security have been maintained.
At the congress, delegates discussed and supplemented the results achieved in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, leadership and direction to ensure security and order in the area, leadership and direction of village party cells in building advanced new rural areas... At the same time, delegates also discussed and approved reports on contributing ideas to draft documents submitted to the congress at higher levels.
The Congress also heard the announcement of the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on appointing the Party Executive Committee of the commune, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the commune, the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune for the 2025-2030 term. In particular, comrade Nguyen Sy Tan was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Gia commune, for the 2025-2030 term (previously he held the position of Secretary of the Binh Gia District Party Committee).
Speaking at the congress, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee commended the results that the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Gia commune have achieved in recent times.
Regarding the tasks for the next term, he suggested: The Party Committee and the government of Binh Gia commune should proactively, actively and persistently create profound changes in the awareness of cadres, party members and people about the requirements and tasks of Party building, the political system, socio-economic development, national defense and security in the coming period; focus on leading and directing the promotion of economic development, mobilizing maximum resources inside and outside the area to invest in infrastructure, focusing on developing rural transport infrastructure, encouraging the development of the private economy, promoting the application of science and technology in agricultural production as well as other service sectors.
At the same time, pay attention to developing socio-cultural fields, improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people, paying attention to preserving traditional, modern and humane values; promoting administrative procedure reform to better serve the people and businesses; focusing on building a strong national defense posture associated with a strong people's security posture, meeting the requirements of the task of building and protecting the fatherland in the new situation.
He emphasized: The Party Committee of the commune needs to focus on Party building and the political system, improve the quality of Party cell activities, leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, Party organizations and Party members; pay attention to building and improving the quality of the staff in terms of qualities, capacity, responsibility and determination to overcome difficulties, innovate, be creative and strong to rise up.
He requested that immediately after the Congress, the Party Executive Committee of the commune urgently develop working regulations, a work program for the entire term, and assign specific tasks to Party Committee members at all levels to effectively lead, direct, and organize implementation .
At the congress, delegates voted to pass the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Binh Gia commune, term 2025-2030 with main targets such as: total planting area reaching 1,200 hectares/year, new forest planting from 60 hectares/year or more, newly established from 5 enterprises, 3 cooperatives and 3 cooperative groups or more, annual budget revenue increasing from 12% or more, admitting new party members from 48 or more every year...
