For over 4 years, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh My (Cam Le ward) has invested in the Suoi May - Rose Farm tourist farm of about 2 hectares in Song Vang commune.
Ms. My said that this place used to be acacia plantation land of the local people. When investing, she spent a lot of time improving the land, planning rose planting areas, camping areas, check-in points and outdoor living spaces for tourists with nearly 5 billion VND. Suoi May - Rose Farm is now a familiar destination for tourists every weekend.
“Currently, the tourism product only stops at experiencing the farm, not enough conditions to build more solidly because I am investing on agricultural land. The good news is that the local government actively accompanies and supports to remove difficulties. I hope that all levels continue to pay attention, adjust the planning, create conditions to change the purpose of land use so that I can confidently invest in developing this model,” said Ms. My.
Song Vang Commune has National Highway 14G passing through it, possessing natural conditions, climate, land and unique culture of the Co Tu people, so it is very suitable to attract investment in tourism development.
Mr. Le Van Tu, Chairman of Song Vang Commune People's Committee, shared that in order to exploit the potential of eco-tourism and agricultural tourism, and gradually promote trade and service development, the locality determined to review and adjust the master plan of Ba and Tu communes (old).
Accordingly, the locality develops and submits to competent authorities for approval the Master Plan for Construction of Song Vang Commune (scale 1/10,000) for the period up to 2030 and vision to 2040, in accordance with the new Song Vang Commune and the regional planning of Da Nang city, as well as the land use planning for the period 2026 - 2031.
According to Mr. Tu, this is the basis for attracting investment, creating favorable conditions, especially in terms of land policies, so that people and businesses can confidently develop suitable types of tourism and agriculture.
“We will call for investment in eco-tourism and agricultural areas that are attractive enough for tourists, such as the high-end resort west of Ba Na; the eco-tourism area connecting the primeval forest at the foot of Anh and Em mountains; the eco-tourism area of Ho Ban Mai... The locality is committed to working with investors to remove difficulties and obstacles, speed up the implementation of projects to develop the economy and create jobs,” Mr. Tu shared.
Mr. Ho Quang Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Song Vang commune, said that to facilitate inter-regional connectivity and tourism development, Song Vang commune will continue to review and include important projects in the planning, and prioritize proposals to competent authorities to include them in the medium-term public investment portfolio.
Typically, upgrading and expanding National Highway 14G; connecting routes from Song Vang to Song Kon, Thuong Duc, and Hoa Bac communes. The locality will upgrade Song Vang market to become a commercial center for people to buy, sell, and exchange goods and a place for tourists to visit. Mobilizing people to restore and develop traditional craft villages; preserving the unique culture of the Co Tu people to serve community tourism.
