Soldier Photography Congress and Exhibition "Proud of 80 years of Heroic Army"

(NADS) - On December 8, at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, three important events took place: the Congress of the Soldier Photography Association, the Congress of the Soldier Photography Club, and the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Proud of 80 years of the Heroic Army".

Attending the event were Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Hai; Veteran Tran Minh Tam, Head of H67 Liaison Committee; writer Bui Anh Tan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and many members of the Soldier Photography Club from the North and provinces and cities such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Ben Tre , Tien Giang, Binh Thuan and Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the congress, the Soldier Photography Association elected a new leadership board with the Chairman being Photographic Artist Nguyen Trung Truc, and the Vice Chairman being Colonel Dam Quang Thai. Meanwhile, the Soldier Photography Club also elected a new executive board, including Chairman Doan Hoai Trung and 6 Vice Chairmen: Chairman Nguyen Trung Truc, Artist Dam Quang Thai, Chairman Bui Dang Thanh (in charge of Hanoi branch), Artist Nguyen Trung Hiep, Chairman Hoang Bich Nhung and Chairman Nguyen Hai (in charge of Mekong Delta branch).

Immediately after the Congress, the photo exhibition “Proud of 80 Years of the Heroic Army” was opened. The exhibition displayed 80 typical works by members. These photos recorded images of the army’s activities, from the combined arms, Navy, Border Guard, Coast Guard, Air Defense-Air Force, to moments of training and combat.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Hai attended the event.

The congress and exhibition are not only an opportunity for soldier photographers from all regions to meet, exchange and learn, but also an occasion to honor the historical values and contributions of the Vietnam People's Army during 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland. This is also a place to arouse national pride and inspire creativity for photographers to continue to capture meaningful moments, serving the community and society.
