General Phan Van Giang attended many exchange activities in China.

On the afternoon of April 16, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, and a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense returned home to successfully conclude exchange activities within the framework of the 9th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange in the Zhuang Autonomous Region (Guangxi, China).

Chinese people warmly welcomed General Phan Van Giang and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.

In China, the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense visited the Friendship Pass Tourist Area; visited the Friendship Pass Border Guard Company; witnessed the patrol teams of the two countries' navies reporting online before conducting a joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin; planted friendship trees; visited the smart border gate at the Friendship Pass Border Gate; visited Primary School No. 4 in Bang Tuong City; and visited the model village of Chu Lien, Ninh Minh District (Zhuang Autonomous Region).

Throughout the exchange activities, General Phan Van Giang and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense received a warm, respectful and thoughtful welcome from the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, local authorities and people of China.

The farewell ceremony for the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense was held at the Friendship Pass of China. Many Chinese people in the border area attended the farewell ceremony.

As planned, on April 17, General Phan Van Giang will preside over the official welcoming ceremony for Senior General Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of China, and a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense to attend exchange activities in Lang Son province.

At the Huu Nghi Quan Border Guard Company, General Phan Van Giang and Senior Lieutenant General Dong Quan listened to a report on the unit's tasks and functions, and visited the company's facilities and equipment.

At Chu Lien model village, the two ministers spent time enjoying local specialties and interacting with the people. At the same time, they visited some households in the village, learning about the daily life, production work and cultural customs of the people; the friendliness, closeness and openness in the conversations contributed to strengthening the trust and connection between the people of the two countries, from the most simple things in rural life.
