The Youth Association for Self-Esteem and Career Development in Ea Sno village is one of the models chosen by the Dak D'ro Commune Party Committee to spread the awareness of self-reliance in economic development for the people.
According to Mr. Tran Gia Chien, President of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs, in 2004, when Dak Nong was newly re-established, eight men from different rural areas came to Ea Sno village to start a business. To help each other in life, they established the Association of Young Entrepreneurs. To date, the Association has 16 participating households. After nearly 20 years, although the members of the Association are no longer young, the name of the Association remains the same to remind each other of a time when they were young, daring to think, daring to do, and overcoming difficulties.
The members agreed to contribute to the fund every year to have capital, creating conditions for households in difficulty to borrow. Up to now, the capital has been over 100 million VND, annually lending to 2-3 households to invest in taking care of crops and livestock. With the virtue of hard work and diligence, 16 member households all have a comfortable life, there are no more poor households. Mr. Chien said: "When joining the Association, we are always ready to share with each other good and effective models to learn and replicate. The spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance is the key for members to always improve the quality of economic development every year."
According to Mr. Chien, as a party member, he understands that learning and following Uncle Ho means not letting poverty cling to him but having the will to progress, not being satisfied with what he has every day but striving to develop more and more.
Mai Van Huy, a member of the Association, also started with nothing, but has gradually risen up with a spirit of eagerness to learn, enthusiasm for work and production. Currently, Huy's family has about 4 hectares of land growing pepper and coffee. He also raises goats and wild boars to increase his income.
Mr. Huy said: “Thanks to the solidarity and mutual support of my colleagues, I have never felt discouraged in my work or satisfied with reality. I always feel that I need to do better, change my mindset about farming and animal husbandry, apply science and technology, and change crop varieties to increase my family’s income.”
Similarly, Mr. Le Van Thoi, a member of the association, shared: “Whatever you do, you must be frugal and know how to spend properly, in accordance with your family’s circumstances, then the economy will be guaranteed. If I earn 10 dong, I will spend it reasonably, and save the rest for when I get sick, or when production and livestock are unstable, so that I have capital to reinvest,” said Mr. Thoi.
According to comrade Le Thi Minh, Deputy Secretary of Dak D'ro Commune Party Committee, implementing Conclusion No. 01, in addition to the propaganda work of annual topics to all cadres, party members and the masses, the Commune Party Committee also focuses on building typical advanced examples in studying and following Uncle Ho.
Based on the orientation and direction of the Party Committee, every year, the subordinate Party cells register 1 to 2 models of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. After 3 years of implementation, the whole commune has built 8 collective models and 15 individual models.
In addition to the economic development model for replication, we also focus on typical examples in social work, examples of individuals who are local ethnic minorities and have religion to create a widespread influence among the entire population."
