According to Lieutenant Colonel Thai Viet Vu, the Ministry of Construction has agreed to hold the inauguration ceremony of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project on August 19. After the inauguration ceremony, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will be opened to traffic. Dong Thap Province's functional agencies have carefully prepared plans to ensure order and traffic safety for this important event.

At Trung Luong intersection, Dong Tam intersection, and the intersections of Rach Mieu 1 and 2 bridges, traffic police will be on duty to regulate traffic to ensure security, order, and smooth traffic safety, without causing traffic jams. Accordingly, vehicles will be able to travel through the surrounding roads and the two Rach Mieu bridges normally.

People traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to the West, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, after finishing the expressway, move to the exit at Than Cuu Nghia intersection, to Dong Tam intersection, go straight across Rach Mieu 2 bridge to Vinh Long (formerly Ben Tre province) and vice versa.

In case of traveling on National Highway 1 to Trung Luong roundabout, follow National Highway 1 towards the West, to Dong Tam intersection, turn left across Rach Mieu 2 bridge to go to Vinh Long .

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge has 4 lanes so it is expected to be more open than the existing Rach Mieu Bridge. Dong Thap province's functional agencies will be on duty at intersections during rush hour to ensure smooth traffic safety.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project across Tien River, connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces, is about to open to traffic.

Lieutenant Colonel Thai Viet Vu added that during the traffic opening process, if any problems are discovered, the authorities will promptly handle them, and at the same time organize traffic flow and put up signs... to ensure smooth traffic flow.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project across the Tien River, connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces, invested by the My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction), with a total capital of more than VND 6,810 billion, started construction in March 2022. The project has a total length of about 17.6km, of which the main bridge is a cable-stayed bridge nearly 2km long, designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, with a scale of 4 lanes.

The project starts at Dong Tam intersection (intersection of National Highway 1 - Provincial Road 870, Dong Thap province) and ends at National Highway 60 (Vinh Long province). When put into operation, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will help reduce the load on the existing Rach Mieu Bridge, creating favorable conditions for transporting goods and people's travel, while expanding the inter-regional traffic axis, promoting socio-economic development in the Mekong Delta region.
