On January 22, the Quang Nam Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (PMU) inspected a number of key traffic projects to direct construction work and ensure safety during and after Tet.

Most of the projects are stuck with the access road. Therefore, the progress of the project is being affected.

The delegation worked with contractors at the project of connecting road from DT609C to National Highway 14B (through Dai Loc district), connecting road from QL14H to DT609C (Duy Xuyen - Dai Loc) and Van Ly bridge access road.

According to the plan, these are all projects that must be completed before September 2025, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 and the 23rd Quang Nam Provincial Party Congress (term 2025 - 2030).

Contractor representatives said that the construction volume for the bridge project basically met the schedule. However, the project's approach roads were mostly stuck in the ground, hindering the construction process. Typically, the Van Ly bridge project has completed about 94% of the volume, while the approach road has no output.

The contractor, Thanh An 96 Construction Joint Stock Company, said the main problems were related to resettlement, land disputes, and people's disagreement with receiving money. Localities need to hand over all cleared land by the first quarter of 2025, only then can the entire project of connecting Highway 14H to DT609C be completed.

At the construction site of the road connecting DT609C to National Highway 14B, the An Binh Bridge has been completed. The contractor has implemented traffic safety measures such as erecting barriers and placing warning signs at both ends of the bridge to prevent vehicles from going onto the bridge during Tet.

Regarding site clearance, Dai Loc district is speeding up construction to complete two resettlement areas in Dai Minh and Dai Quang communes to arrange land for households.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Son - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board listened to the progress report and safety assurance work during Tet.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Son - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board, affirmed that the workload for these projects is still very large. In particular, it is necessary to focus on solving many problems of the project in parallel such as site clearance, source of fill materials as well as strengthening the urging and supervision of the construction progress of the contractor.

The Deputy Director of the Project Management Board requested the contractor to develop a scenario and start construction simultaneously after Tet to ensure progress. This is the final stage, so the units must proactively coordinate and work with the locality to soon complete the resettlement area and land acquisition procedures to hand over on schedule.

Regarding the completed bridge, Mr. Son reminded the contractor not to allow people or young people to drive, take photos or walk around without ensuring technical standards. Urgently implement barriers and put up signs at both ends of the bridge. Some access roads with frequent traffic also need to be monitored and comply with traffic safety measures.
