At the press conference, the representative of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province said that, together with Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh province, Hanoi city, Ha Nam province and Bac Giang province, Quang Ninh province is honored to be the locality to receive the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India to be enshrined and worshiped at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace from May 25 to May 28, 2025. This is an important and rare event because according to Indian regulations, each country can only receive and enshrine the relics of Buddha once.

As planned, the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics from Phuc Son Pagoda (Tan Yen District, Bac Giang Province) to Yen Tu scenic relic site (Thuong Yen Cong Commune, Uong Bi City) will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 25, 2025.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province, informed at the press conference.

At the press conference, representatives of relevant departments and branches also informed and clarified the concerns of representatives of news agencies and newspapers about the preparation of conditions: Decoration, plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety and order, fire prevention and fighting, food safety and hygiene and coordination between forces to ensure the event. Accordingly, the preparation of conditions for the procession, enshrinement and worship of the Buddha's relics is being urgently deployed to ensure solemnity, respect, and gratitude and respect for the Buddha. At the same time, creating opportunities for a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and tourists from all over to come and worship, pray for national peace, world peace, and the happiness of all beings.
