Ensuring the best conditions for candidates taking the 2025 high school graduation exam

Nationwide, nearly 1.17 million candidates registered for the exam this year, of which Hanoi accounted for nearly 125,000 candidates, equivalent to more than 1/10 of the total number of candidates nationwide. This is a record number in terms of exam scale in a locality, and at the same time a big challenge in terms of organization, human resources and facilities.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has planned to arrange over 250 examination sites with more than 5,500 examination rooms - an increase of nearly 50 examination sites and nearly 500 examination rooms compared to 2024. This expansion requires close coordination, careful preparation of human resources, facilities, security work and organizational plans.

The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the conclusion of Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy at the meeting of the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and the Steering Committee for the 2025-2026 school year entrance exams.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed the Department of Education and Training to ensure that exams are organized in accordance with regulations, strictly implement the exam regulations and guidance documents of the Ministry of Education and Training; complete contingency plans for all situations, especially in the stages of exam preparation, printing, transporting exam questions and papers, invigilation and grading;

It is necessary to strengthen supervision and technical support, establish a rapid response team, ensure the security of the information technology system serving enrollment and examination; strengthen inspection and supervision of all stages of the exam, and strictly handle violations.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Lao Cai province has 9,271 candidates registered to take the exam.

The whole province organizes 1 Examination Council with 27 Examination Sites located in districts, towns and cities (Bac Ha 3, Bao Thang 3, Bao Yen 03, Bat Xat 2, Muong Khuong 3, Lao Cai 6, Sa Pa 2, Si Ma Cai 2 and Van Ban 3).

In order to ensure that the exam takes place seriously, fairly and conveniently for candidates, Lao Cai province will support, arrange and create accommodation for candidates from far away, gather candidates from far away to near the exam site before organizing the exam; ensure that no candidates have to drop out or take time off from the exam due to objective reasons (unusual weather, economic difficulties, etc.).

The Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Lang Son province has just issued a Plan to organize the Exam in the province. Tasks and solutions for implementation: the Education and Training sector organizes well the study, deploys the exam regulations and exam organization procedures for all managers, teachers, staff and students participating in the Exam; ensures that 100% of exam organizers have a firm grasp of their tasks, powers and exam organization procedures; strictly implements the school year's task plan: teaches correctly and sufficiently; completes the curriculum of subjects in parallel with organizing knowledge review for 12th grade students according to each target group; provides full and widespread information about the Exam, ensuring the rights of all candidates to participate in the Exam; fully prepares facilities and provides training on online exam registration techniques for candidates; Coordinate to fully and accurately disseminate information about the exam, paying special attention to disease prevention and control measures and responding to unusual weather developments during the exam.

This year’s high school graduation exam regulations will also have many new points. The exam duration will be shortened from 4 sessions to 3 sessions. Candidates will only take the exam in one room throughout the entire exam.

Candidates will take 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects (Math, Literature) and 2 elective subjects in the high school curriculum.

The exam has added some new question formats for multiple choice subjects: Multiple choice, True or false, short answer (previously there was only 01 question format).

All candidates can register for the exam online (previously, independent candidates had to submit their application in person), verify their personal information and have their exam scores added to priority through digital databases.
