Ensuring that the 10th grade entrance exam and the high school graduation exam take place in absolute safety

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of May 15, the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025-2026 High School Entrance Exam and the 2025 High School Graduation Exam held a conference to assign tasks and agree on contents related to the exam.

2025 is the first year that the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year and the High School Graduation Exam will be organized according to the 2018 General Education Program with many innovations in exam regulations.

According to the plan, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 3 and 4, 2025. The new point of this year's exam is that the provincial Department of Education and Training will organize the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools together with the 10th grade entrance exam for Lam Son Specialized High School and the 10th grade entrance exam for ethnic minority high schools (collectively called the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year).

Accordingly, the whole province has over 42,454 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to grade 10 of public high schools (a decrease of 2,260 candidates compared to the 2024 entrance exam); 1,196 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to grade 10 of Lam Son Specialized High School (a decrease of 510 candidates compared to the 2024 entrance exam); 841 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to grade 10 of ethnic minority high schools (an increase of 37 candidates compared to the 2024 entrance exam).

The Department of Education and Training will establish an Examination Council (EC) at each high school. Nguyen Thi Loi High School (Sam Son City) and Lam Son Specialized High School (Thanh Hoa City) will establish 2 ECs. In total, the province has 91 ECs.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place over 2 days from June 26-27, 2025. Thanh Hoa province will organize an examination council chaired by the Department of Education and Training, including 85 examination sites. Of which, the number of candidates registering for the 2018 General Education Program is 40,768 (an increase compared to the 2024 General Education Program: 1,993 candidates) and 869 candidates registering for the 2006 General Education Program (of which the number of candidates only considering high school graduation is 14; the number of candidates considering high school graduation and university and college admission is 19; the number of candidates only considering university and college admission is 836). The number of examination rooms is expected to be about 1,900 (an increase compared to 2024: about 200 examination rooms).

At the conference, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa Ta Hong Luu briefly reported the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year; deployed the 2025 high school graduation exam and the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, especially emphasizing the new points of this year's exam.

The members of the exam steering committee and the sectors and localities also discussed many issues related to ensuring conditions for the exam to take place safely and seriously, providing the best support for candidates in the context that the whole province is implementing the arrangement and organization of the 2-level local government apparatus and changes in the arrangement of the inspection agency system, with no more district-level police.
