No shortage of train and bus tickets

Recently, Khanh Hoa Bus Station and Transport Services Joint Stock Company has issued a plan to serve the National Day holiday on September 2. Accordingly, the company requires bus stations to proactively work with transport units inside and outside the province to mobilize passenger vehicles operating on fixed routes, other routes, off-route vehicles, contract vehicles, etc. to coordinate with terminal bus stations to increase vehicle operations, meeting the travel needs of people before, during and after the holiday. In addition, bus stations need to proactively mobilize passenger vehicles, update ticket sales data and review passenger travel needs to have plans to increase vehicles.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Hai - Director of the Southern Interprovincial Bus Station said that currently, there are about 140 buses departing from the station to the provinces every day. During the holidays, it is expected that there will be 170 - 175 trips departing each day with a capacity of serving about 3,500 - 4,000 passengers. Although the demand for travel increases during the holidays, the bus companies have committed to increasing trips, ensuring that there is no shortage of buses to serve passengers. Currently, the Southern Interprovincial Bus Station has connected 79 bus routes to 28 provinces and cities nationwide and 1 intra-provincial route to meet the maximum travel needs of the people.

Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch also plans to increase the number of trains on the Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City route and some neighboring provinces to serve the travel needs of passengers during the holiday. Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route will run additional train SNT4 on August 29 and 30; and additional trains SNT6, SNT8, SNT10 on August 29. The Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City route will run additional trains SNT3 and SNT5 on September 1 and 2. The Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon route will run additional train SE30 from August 28 to September 1; train SQN2 on August 29. The Quy Nhon - Ho Chi Minh City route will run additional train SE29 from August 29 to September 2; train SQN1 on September 2. In addition, the company organizes additional charter trains (renting entire trains) when units have a need or increases the number of trains on routes when passenger demand increases.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien - Deputy Director of Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch said that currently, the Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City route has sold 86% of the tickets according to the plan; the remaining tickets are mainly seats. If demand increases suddenly, the Railway will add more trains to serve short routes to ensure the travel needs of people and tourists.

Ensure the best passenger service

To ensure sufficient means of transport to meet the travel needs of passengers during the September 2 holiday, the Department of Construction has just issued a document requesting road transport businesses to have a plan to arrange enough vehicles, drivers, and service staff on the vehicles; at the same time, requiring the vehicle companies to comply with regulations on registration, declaration, and posting of fares; have forms of priority and incentives for people in difficult circumstances, families with preferential policies, and the disabled... For passenger transport businesses on fixed routes, the Department of Construction requires a reasonable transport organization plan, strictly prohibiting units from leaving stations to run "illegally", running on the wrong route, picking up and dropping off passengers at places other than the prescribed ones; strictly prohibiting all fixed-route vehicles from picking up and dropping off passengers at offices, transaction points, and ticket offices (except bus stations).

Mr. Tran Quang Ngoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction said that to ensure safety for passengers during the National Day holiday, the department has requested the Department of Transport Management to coordinate with the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, the Inland Waterways Port Authority, the People's Committees of communes and wards to monitor the business conditions and safety of vehicles, bus stations, and inland waterway stations. The Department of Transport Management coordinates with functional units to effectively implement solutions to minimize traffic accidents on the roads under its management; requires relevant units to comply with traffic rules, prevent accidents on steep mountain passes, and railway crossings. The department also has a document requesting the Provincial Police to direct the traffic police force to increase patrols and control, handle violations of regulations on ensuring traffic safety; regulate traffic to ensure smooth traffic; strictly handle cases of vehicles stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers illegally, etc.

It is forecasted that during the National Day holiday, the number of tourists visiting the islands in Nha Trang Bay and Vinh Hy Bay will increase, so the Department of Construction requires inland waterway passenger transport units and inland waterway port managers to strengthen guidance for passengers to implement safety measures when visiting the islands; proactively develop service plans to ensure timely response to increased transportation needs. Inland waterway port units must strengthen inspection and supervision of operating conditions of inland waterway vehicles and operators on routes from shore to islands, ensuring full and strict implementation of technical safety conditions and standards for exploitation and operation within the scope of management, and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
