Proactive plans to ensure electricity
The working delegation inspected the 220kV Chem Transformer Station and the 220kV Van Tri Transformer Station of Hanoi Power Transmission.
At the inspection, Mr. To The Cuong, Director of Hanoi Power Transmission, said: Hanoi Power Transmission is assigned to manage 11 substations. The unit has implemented many solutions to ensure stable transmission capacity, reliable transmission grid, directed and worked with substations to develop plans to prevent and minimize incidents at each substation.
Accordingly, Hanoi Power Transmission has focused on promoting operational management, proactively approaching tasks related to solutions to ensure power supply, especially during peak months of the hot and dry seasons in 2025.
The unit has moved the isolating switches at the substations, installed additional auxiliary switches to prevent heat generation at the contact points, and cleaned and maintained the isolating switches.
For power lines, the unit increased the installation of auxiliary anchors at anchor positions, increased hotline cleaning, and repaired the grounding system.
At the same time, it has coordinated the construction and completion of the intersection points of the 220kV and 500kV power transmission grids with Ring Road 4 in Hanoi city.
Inspecting at the 220kV Soc Son substation and the 500kV Hiep Hoa substation of the Northeast 3 Power Transmission, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, Director of Northeast 3 Power Transmission said: Northeast 3 Power Transmission is assigned the task of managing and operating the 220 - 500kV power transmission grid in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, part of the provinces of Bac Giang , Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Soc Son district - Hanoi city, with the task of supplying main electricity to the northeastern provinces and the north of Hanoi city with 13 substations and more than 1,900 km of power lines.
In the first 4 months of 2025, a number of lines and transformers of the Northeast 3 Power Transmission Grid have been operating at full capacity and overloaded.
To ensure safe and continuous power supply to the power transmission grid during the dry months of 2025, Northeast Power Transmission 3 has directed the operating force to regularly and continuously closely monitor the load status and working status of equipment, especially for the Hiep Hoa 500kV substation, 500kV lines, substations and power connection lines.
Northeast 3 Power Transmission has directed its subordinate units to strictly implement documents from all levels on ensuring safe operation and preventing incidents. Annually, it develops an incident prevention plan for each substation and each line and implements it.
Regularly inspect technical management, discipline and operational discipline of substations to point out shortcomings and problems and request substations to implement solutions to ensure safe operation of the power grid.
For new projects and works, focus on quality supervision and acceptance, ensuring good control of secondary completion, configuration, and relay adjustment immediately after acceptance and commissioning.
The unit carries out propaganda work including distributing leaflets and signing commitments directly at schools and households living near the power line, carrying out propaganda through loudspeakers, hanging propaganda billboards, and placing warning signs of areas where kite flying is prohibited (for Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen provinces).
Organize conferences to propagate the protection of high-voltage power grid corridors in communes, districts and towns where kite flying is practiced, invite press and television agencies to make propaganda reports, etc.
In areas where kite flying is a popular activity, checkpoints are set up to check and control kites (daily checks along the power lines, when kites are found flying near the power lines, coordinate with the commune police to collect and take down kites). The unit has also worked with the People's Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the provincial police to issue directives to local levels to coordinate in disseminating and handling violations caused by kites.

Absolutely do not let subjective incidents happen.
During the inspection, PTC1 leaders also pointed out some difficulties and challenges in operating the power transmission system during the hot season. However, determining that this is a particularly important political task, PTC1 has directed units to seriously implement solutions.
Up to this point, PTC1 has made careful preparations to ensure safe, continuous, and stable power transmission during this year's hot season.
After inspecting the site and working with relevant units, EVNNPT General Director Pham Le Phu acknowledged and highly appreciated PTC1, Hanoi Power Transmission, and Northeast Power Transmission 3 for always proactively preparing plans to ensure safe, continuous, and stable power transmission in the past and being ready for this year's hot season. Plans and scenarios to ensure power supply are developed in detail and specifically.
EVNNPT General Director said: Ensuring safe, continuous and stable electricity for this year's hot season is of special concern to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and EVN leaders, and there have been many telegrams and directive documents requiring the implementation of solutions to ensure electricity supply.
Although the April 30 holiday load is low, it is also the time when many important political events take place, so the operations department cannot be subjective or negligent.
Right after the holiday, it is forecasted that there will be a heat wave, so the load will increase sharply, so the challenge for the power transmission system will be very big. Although there has been careful preparation, the General Director of EVNNPT requested the leaders of PTC1, Hanoi Power Transmission, and Northeast Power Transmission 3 to continue to focus on operating and implementing solutions to ensure safe and continuous operation of the power grid during the hot season according to the direction of EVN/EVNNPT.
The unit needs to strengthen operational management, absolutely not allowing subjective incidents to occur. Strengthen monitoring of operational status, especially the 500kV Central - Northern link line, minimize incidents occurring during high transmission periods and review and fully prepare incident handling plans. Strengthen the on-call force to operate/handle incidents for high-load lines and elements in extreme operating modes.
Timely arrange human and material resources to be ready in all situations, ensuring continuous, safe and stable power supply during the hot season. The task of ensuring power supply must be given the top, highest and most important priority. All work related to or supporting the activities of ensuring power supply must be directed, implemented and resolved immediately by the leaders of the priority units.
EVNNPT leaders requested PTC1 to closely coordinate with units in the Corporation to accelerate the progress of investment and construction projects. Direct the thorough implementation of measures to save electricity, use electricity efficiently at the unit, turn off unnecessary electrical equipment, limit the use of equipment that consumes a lot of electricity, especially during peak hours.
Along with that, it is necessary to closely coordinate with local authorities in promoting the protection of high-voltage power grid safety corridors, meeting the goal of safe, continuous and stable power transmission during this year's hot season.
