On the morning of September 12, at the Conference Center of Dong Gia Nghia Ward, Lam Dong Province, the Ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision to recognize Dak Son Lithophone as a National Treasure took place; at the same time, receiving the National Monument Ranking Certificate for the C3-C4, C7, C8 cave clusters (Krong No) and certifying the Tam Blang M'prang Bon festival of the M'Nong people as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Dak Son lithophone was discovered in 2014 in Dak Son village, Nam Xuan commune, Krong No district, Dak Nong province, when people were digging holes to plant pepper. The collection includes 16 stone slabs, of which 11 are intact, 5 are broken but can still be restored.

Crafted from rhyolite – a metamorphic schist common in the Central Highlands, the bars produce a resonant, clear, crisp tone with varying degrees of high and low. Archaeological examination results show that the lithophone is about 3,500 – 3,000 years old, the same type as the lithophones of Binh Da (Dong Nai), Loc Hoa (Binh Phuoc), and Ndut Lieng Krak (Dak Lak).
The Dak Son lithophone is a testament to the rich spiritual life of the indigenous people in prehistoric times, and at the same time affirms the special historical and cultural value of the Central Highlands. The artifact is currently preserved at the Dak Nong Provincial Museum.

This is an important milestone, affirming the unique cultural and historical values of Lam Dong province in particular and the Central Highlands in general. The event not only honors heritage but also opens up a new direction in conservation associated with tourism development, promoting the image of a land of diverse identity to the whole country and international friends.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lam Dong provincial leaders emphasized that this recognition is a source of common pride, and at the same time, they set out the responsibility for preserving and promoting the heritage value. Immediately after the announcement ceremony, delegates and people visited the exhibition "National Treasures of Dak Son Lithophone and Cultural Heritage of Lam Dong Province".
