The Kìm instrument - the soul of Vietnam in the South.
As the cradle of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music, for hundreds of years, the people of Bac Lieu have been intimately connected with the kìm (a type of stringed instrument). The sound of this instrument, sometimes lively and sometimes melancholic, has always accompanied the people on their journeys through the joys and sorrows of life, thus creating a distinctive cultural identity for this southern region.
