Dan Phuong awards ceremony of radio and town broadcasting festival

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on June 3, the Dan Phuong District Culture - Information and Sports Center organized a meeting with generations of cadres, leaders, civil servants and workers of the Culture - Information and Sports sector through the periods; summarizing and awarding prizes for the 2025 Commune and Town Radio and Television Festival.

At the event, Director of the Center for Culture - Information and Sports of Dan Phuong district Bui Thi Quyen reviewed the 100-year tradition of the birth and development of Vietnam's revolutionary press. In Dan Phuong district, the type of "talking newspaper" The first broadcast was on April 28, 1967 when the Phung Dam defense position was bombed by American planes, killing 9 brave militiamen of Song Phuong and Dong Thap communes. The "loudspeaker sound" at that time was Department under the District Department of Culture and Information. In 1979 , the District Radio Station was established on the basis of separation from the information and propaganda department of the Department of Culture and Information . The District Radio Station is the mouthpiece of the Party Committee and the People's Government of Dan Phuong District, responsible for relaying Voice of Vietnam Radio and City Radio, producing district radio programs, and transmitting to communes and towns in the area.

After 38 years under the name of District Radio Station, in 2016, implementing the Decision of Hanoi City People's Committee on the establishment of the Center for Culture - Information and Sports, Dan Phuong district merged 3 agencies: Radio Station, Cultural House, District Sports Center into District Culture - Information and Sports Center, Radio Station became a part of the District Information and Sports Center.

In order to connect the professional tasks between the “district radio station” and the “commune radio station”, from 2011 to present, Dan Phuong district has organized the Radio Festival of communes and towns. This is an opportunity for the staff working in radio broadcasting at the grassroots level to meet, exchange, discuss, learn, and gain experience; gradually innovate and improve their writing, editing, and building complete radio programs to meet the propaganda tasks at the grassroots level.

In 2025, 16/16 commune and town radio stations participated in the Festival with content closely following the theme, focusing on the timeliness of information; mentioning and reflecting issues of public concern. After 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Jury selected quality stations to award prizes including: 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes, 10 Encouragement prizes and 5 Special prizes. Of which, the First prize belongs to Tan Lap Commune Radio Station; 2 Second prizes belong to Thuong Mo Commune and Dong Thap Commune Radio Stations; 3 Third prizes belong to the commune radio stations: Phuong Dinh, Tan Hoi, Lien Hong...
