In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Provincial Military Party Committee has coordinated to advise, lead and direct the good implementation of military, national defense and border defense tasks, building a solid provincial defense area; adjusting military posture planning, strengthening defense potentials, building an all-people national defense, a strong all-people national defense posture associated with a strong people's security posture and a strong all-people border defense posture; regularly grasping the local situation, advising, leading and directing the timely handling of situations inland and on the border.
Actively participate in socio-economic development, prevention and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics, building political bases; building a peaceful , friendly, cooperative and developed border. In particular, effectively implementing the Movement "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas", participating in the implementation of social security work, hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the area. The Provincial Military Command has coordinated to support the construction and elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province with 44 houses with a total value of 2.7 billion VND and over 11,800 working days; annually coordinate to organize well the Program "Spring of Border Unity, Tet Warming the Army and People's Love", "Spring of Border Guard Warms the Hearts of the Villagers"; participating in building a strong local political base. 100% of villages and hamlets in the province have Party members and Party Cells. Excellently fulfilling the function of "Working Army" in combat missions in peacetime; mobilized thousands of cadres, soldiers, hundreds of technical equipment, regardless of difficulties, hardships, and sacrifices to participate in preventing and fighting natural disasters, epidemics, and rescue... contributing to stabilizing people's lives, gaining the trust, recognition, and high appreciation of local Party committees and authorities.
Well implementing the adjustment of the organization and staffing according to the Project on rearranging the local military organization "Elite, compact, strong". The quality of training and exercises has been improved; building a comprehensively strong provincial armed force "Exemplary, typical". The Provincial Military Party Committee has always been strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres. The work of building the Party Committee has increasingly focused on strengthening the organization, officially recognizing the Party for 39 comrades, issuing Party cards to 62 Party members, and awarding 30-year Party membership badges to 54 Party members. Logistics, technical work and other aspects of work have been deployed synchronously and comprehensively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
With the spirit of solidarity, unity, and absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People, the overall quality and fighting strength of the provincial armed forces have been improved, capable of completing all assigned tasks well.
In the 2025 - 2030 term, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Breakthrough - Development", the Provincial Military Party Committee continues to set out 3 tasks and leadership solutions, identifying 3 breakthroughs focusing on: Improving the quality of operations of the Regional Defense Command and the Military Command of communes and wards. Continuing to innovate and improve the quality of training and exercises; the quality of regular construction, discipline management; promoting the cultural values of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period. Promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation and administrative reform in the provincial armed forces.

Speaking at the Congress, Colonel Khong Dinh Tam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 2 acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Lai Chau Provincial Military Party Committee in the past term.
