"Party members lead the way" in Duc Ninh

Driving force for development

According to Comrade Hoang Duc Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Duc Ninh commune, during the process of building advanced new rural areas, Party members have taken the lead in various fields, helping the locality develop comprehensively. Many comrades have actively transformed the economic structure, applied science and technology to production, created stable income, and spread effective models to the community.

For example, Comrade Le Van Khanh, Secretary of the Party Branch of Linh village and Head of the village's tea production cooperative, boldly transformed low-yield rice fields into tea plantations following VietGAP standards. He was also a pioneer in investing in and installing an irrigation system for his entire 1.5 hectares of tea plantation, ensuring consistently good growth and high yields. Mr. Khanh actively campaigned for the establishment of a VietGAP tea production cooperative in the village, comprising 15 members and cultivating a total of 11.2 hectares of tea, thus promoting the development of commodity production in the locality.

Mr. Khanh shared that growing tea according to VietGAP standards helps protect farmers' health and increases economic efficiency because clean tea is easier to sell and fetches a better price compared to traditional farming methods. Members actively share and support each other in terms of techniques and markets, monitor each other, and work together to build a brand of clean tea. All members of the cooperative earn high incomes from tea cultivation. His family alone earns over 200 million VND per year from tea. Besides tea cultivation, villagers have also developed acacia plantations covering over 150 hectares, which has helped them increase their income and contribute to the development of rural infrastructure and facilities.

With his youthful energy, dynamism, and willingness to think outside the box and take risks, Party member Ha Van Tung from Gao Dinh village has successfully built a diversified economic model encompassing a children's toy store, veterinary services, and free-range pig and chicken farming, generating profits exceeding 200 million VND per year. Tung also actively shares his experience and provides veterinary technical guidance to many households in the village and commune, helping them develop livestock farming for higher economic returns.

Mr. Khanh and Mr. Tung are just two of dozens of Party members in Duc Ninh commune who have excelled in economic development. Besides economic development, Party members in Duc Ninh actively participate in and mobilize the people to respond to emulation movements, working together to build advanced new rural areas, maintain security and order, and protect the environment. On weekends, cadres and Party members regularly join the people in cleaning up the environment, planting trees, and creating a clean and beautiful landscape for the village. As a result, Duc Ninh commune has completed all 19 criteria for building advanced new rural areas, with an average per capita income of 51.5 million VND/year and the poverty rate reduced to 7.3%.

Pioneering to build consensus

The Party Committee of Duc Ninh commune has 24 branches (17 village branches, 1 cooperative branch, 1 health branch, 1 commune military branch, 1 commune police branch , and 3 school branches) with 424 Party members. These Party members have effectively served as a bridge to bring the Party's resolutions to the people. At the same time, they have actively propagated and mobilized support, creating high levels of consensus among the people and successfully implementing the local political tasks.

A typical example is the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project. During implementation, land clearance was a key task, requiring high levels of consensus from the people. The entire commune had 40 households and organizations affected by the project. The pioneering role of Party members was decisive in creating consensus and accelerating the project's progress.

Comrade Hoang Ngoc Kim, Secretary of the Party Branch of Lang Dao village, Duc Ninh commune, shared: "In implementing the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project, the village has more than 30 households, including 10 households that have to relocate to the resettlement area. To expedite land clearance, the village Party branch has assigned each Party member to be responsible for and directly visit each household to listen to their concerns and aspirations, answer questions, and encourage people to cooperate with the Party committee and government to resolve any arising issues."

In particular, the pioneering and exemplary spirit of Party members has been clearly demonstrated, exemplified by the families of Party members Luong Duc Thao and Hoang Cao Dang, who promptly handed over the land to the construction unit. This created a ripple effect, encouraging other households to comply with the general policy, promptly relocate their homes to new residences, and hand over the land as planned. To date, all households have agreed to accept compensation and hand over the land to the construction unit, accelerating the project's progress.

Comrade Hoang Duc Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Duc Ninh commune, stated: In 2024, the assessment of Party member quality in the entire commune showed that over 85.2% of Party members completed their tasks well or better, 13.8% completed their tasks, and only 1% did not complete their tasks. In the coming time, to further promote the role of "leading Party members," the Duc Ninh commune Party Committee will focus on political and ideological education, raising awareness among Party members. At the same time, it will organize reviews and assessments of the exemplary role of Party members, promptly commending outstanding individuals to create a ripple effect and continuously strengthen the people's trust in the Party's leadership.
