Leandro Trossard's first-half strike gave Arsenal a 1-0 win in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal had lost the first leg 1-0, so the two teams had to go into extra time and then a penalty shootout to decide the winner. Goalkeeper David Raya became the hero with two successful saves as Arsenal beat Porto 4-2.

Goalkeeper Raya made excellent saves from Wendell and Galeno (Porto), while the home team successfully converted all four of their penalties.

This is the first time a Champions League match has been decided on penalties since the 2016 final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Losing 0-1 in the first leg, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, despite playing at home, had a tough time against a disciplined Porto side. Luckily for the English side, Leandro Trossard scored for the Gunners before the end of the first half to create an equalizer.

In extra time, the home team appeared more dangerous in the first 15 minutes. But Porto always threatened Raya's goal in the second half. Mehdi Taremi almost scored for Porto with a close-range finish. Coach Arteta brought on Eddie Nketiah and Oleksandr Zinchenko in the second half of extra time but could not penetrate the Portuguese team's defense and forced the two teams to enter a penalty shootout. In the end, the London team won the right to continue.
