On June 21st, Mr. Le Duy Hung, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bo Trach district (Quang Binh province), announced that on the occasion of the 17th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Bo Trach district, term 2024-2029, the Congress Organizing Committee unanimously decided not to accept congratulatory flowers; instead, the gifts from the Congress will be donated to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in the district.

Specifically, the invitation to the 17th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Bo Trach District, term 2024-2029, clearly stated: "In implementing the emulation movement 'Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses,' the Congress will not accept congratulatory flowers; all support from organizations and individuals towards the Congress should be channeled through the Congress Organizing Committee."

According to Mr. Le Duy Hung, the Fatherland Front of Bo Trach district is implementing this activity to practically respond to the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025," which was recently launched by the Prime Minister .

On the day of the Congress, the Organizing Committee will set up gift boxes to receive expressions of goodwill and congratulations from agencies, units, organizations, and individuals. After the Congress, the Organizing Committee will publicly announce the number of gifts received and transfer them to the "For the Poor" Fund to support poor households in building solidarity houses.

The 17th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Bo Trach District, for the term 2024-2029, will take place on June 25th at the District Cultural Center.

During the past term, using funds from the "For the Poor" Fund and the Provincial Relief Fund, Bo Trach district coordinated the distribution of 43,417 gifts worth over 19 billion VND to poor households, policy beneficiary families, and households with difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year.

In particular, the Fatherland Front at all levels has built and renovated 207 solidarity houses worth nearly 9.5 billion VND; supported 120 poor households and disadvantaged families in raising breeding cows and other livelihood models worth nearly 5.5 billion VND…
