The 6th National Book Awards Ceremony - 2023 was held on the evening of December 29, in Hanoi. The event was organized by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications , the Vietnam Publishing Association and Vietnam Television to recognize and honor the team of authors, translators, and publishers nationwide. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front ; Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Information and Communications; Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department and comrades leading the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Publishing Association. 
Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien spoke. At the award ceremony, reporting on the 6th National Book Awards, Chairman of the Vietnam Publishing Association, Chairman of the National Book Awards Council, Pham Minh Tuan said: After 6 seasons of being held annually, the National Book Awards have contributed to discovering and promoting valuable works to a large number of readers, creating motivation to promote reading culture, promoting the publishing career to develop in the right direction and in line with the integration trend. 
Chairman of the Vietnam Publishing Association, Chairman of the National Book Award Council Pham Minh Tuan spoke. Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - commented that over the seasons, the National Book Award has had a strong impact on the community, made profound contributions to expertise and has been well received and highly appreciated by the public. "We honor authors, translators, and publishers, which is also honoring reading culture". The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requested the organizing committee of the National Book Award to promote the achieved results, overcome limitations, so that the National Book Award is truly one of the prestigious and leading awards, contributing to the continuous development of the publishing sector. Publishers, distribution units, and publishing associations continue to improve operational efficiency, focus on investing, organizing the publication of many valuable books, maximizing the strengths of the 4th industrial revolution to popularize and promote Vietnamese publications to a wide range of international friends and the Vietnamese community abroad. This year, 41 publishers submitted books with 312 titles and 435 books, an increase of over 15% compared to 2022. The books and book series proposed for the award are all of guaranteed quality, with rich content, beautiful form, multidisciplinary, multi-purpose, and aimed at many different readers. Many books and book series have high theoretical and practical value, are topical, and are of interest to society.
