Identity of the company selling the weight loss product advertised by DJ Ngan 98

On the afternoon of May 21, a source from Dan Tri reporter said that the functional agency under the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City has conducted inspection measures on the company related to the weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98, which caused a stir recently because they were suspected of containing banned substances.

Specifically, the weight loss products listed on the packaging as Hanoi , with a company located in Go Vap District (HCMC). Therefore, the Food Safety Management Team in charge of Go Vap District went to this address on the morning of May 21 to check, but did not find any company.

According to research, on the packaging of the weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98, it is written "the trader responsible for the quality and distribution of the product is Zubu Trading and Service Company Limited, located at 154 Pham Van Chieu (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City). Manufactured at a GMP-standard factory located in Dan Phuong Industrial Park (Dan Phuong District, Hanoi)".

According to the National Business Information Portal, Zubu Trading and Service Company Limited was established in May 2021. Its initial headquarters is at 22 Vo Thi Yen (An Nhon town, Binh Dinh). Its main business line is food wholesale. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh (born in 1972) holds the position of Director and Legal Representative. The initial charter capital of the enterprise is 200 million VND.

By November 2021, the company changed its head office address to 154 Pham Van Chieu (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City). By September 2022, the company increased its capital to 3 billion VND, the proportion of shareholders contributing capital was not disclosed. By October 17, 2024, the position of Director and Legal Representative of the company was transferred to Mr. Pham Xuan Oai (born in 1992). The owner of the company is still Ms. Thanh.

However, just 6 days later, the company announced a change of ownership, transferring to Mr. Le Trong Khanh (born in 1994). One month later, the position of Director and Legal Representative of the company was transferred to Ms. Tran Thi Thanh.

Previously, social media circulated a video and a series of posts related to the dispute between DJ Ngan 98 and a seller named Ngan Collagen. Both sides sell weight loss products. On livestream (live broadcast), they openly criticized and attacked each other about the quality of the goods.

According to research, Super Detox X3, X7 Plus and X1000 are some of the weight loss products that Ngan 98 has advertised. The selling price of the products on some e-commerce platforms ranges from a few hundred thousand to more than 1 million VND/box.

On the evening of May 21, on her TikTok channel with more than 900,000 followers and her Facebook page with more than 2.2 million followers, DJ Ngan 98 spoke up about the origin of the products she advertised and represented. She affirmed that the products were all clearly tested and guaranteed quality for consumers. "Ngan herself also cross-tested the products," she said.
