At around 11:45 a.m. on April 9, a row of shops and kiosks on Vung Thung 7 Street in the Tho Quang boat dock area (Son Tra District, Da Nang City) suddenly caught fire, with a column of black smoke hundreds of meters high. |

Upon receiving the news, the fire prevention and fighting police force (Da Nang City Police) dispatched 5 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. |

Together with the fire fighting force, the people braved the danger to spray water to put out the fire. After about an hour of spraying water, the fire was basically under control. |
