Mr. Huynh Dong Tuan, Deputy General Director of Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company, said that this year's festival is not only a colorful summer playground but also a large-scale cultural, agricultural and tourism event, contributing to bringing the image of Vietnamese agricultural products closer to domestic and foreign consumers.
This year, the festival has many innovative activities, focusing on honoring Vietnamese agricultural products in the integration era. Notable among them are the Ho Chi Minh City Agricultural Products Promotion Festival 2025, Specialty Fruit Market, Suoi Tien Farm High-Tech Agricultural Model Exhibition, and the experience of picking and enjoying fruits in the garden.
“We want to expand the connection space between farmers, gardeners, consumers and modern technology, thereby introducing the image of Vietnamese agricultural products in a civilized and integrated direction,” Mr. Huynh Dong Tuan added.

In addition to the main agricultural activities, this year's festival also invests in a series of rich art, cultural and culinary programs including: a fruit art competition, a music program called Friendship Melody, a parade called "Vietnamese agricultural products reaching out to the world" and the ASEAN Harmony Festival 2025 - a place where the cultures of Southeast Asian countries converge. The entertainment and culinary area will have many highlights such as the Water Festival, the Three-region Food Street, a folk game area and a farming experience in the "Convergence of the Countryside Soul" space.

In particular, according to Mr. Pham Quang Hoi, Director of the Center for Consulting and Supporting the Transformation of Agricultural Economic Structure, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, this year, for the first time, the Department will host the Ho Chi Minh City Agricultural Products Promotion Festival 2025 within the framework of the festival. The activities will combine digital technology such as livestream sales, promoting agricultural products via social networks, with the participation of famous KOLs and KOCs.
“We expect this form of promotion will not only help sell products effectively but also enhance the competitiveness of local agricultural products in the digital age,” said Mr. Pham Quang Hoi.

Regarding consumption, Mr. Huynh Dong Tuan said that the fruit output at the festival in previous years was approximately 1,000 tons, with prices 20-30% lower than the market. This year, in addition to traditional fruits from the three regions, the unit will increase the supply of fruits from Suoi Tien Farm and imported fruits. Particularly, Ri6 durian, a popular product, is expected to consume about 3 tons during the festival at a price of about 50,000 VND/kg, much lower than the 80,000-100,000 VND/kg in previous years.
“We are working with gardeners to increase supply, especially for key fruits such as durian, to help resolve the situation of market congestion and backlog in some places,” Mr. Tuan added.
Food safety is also a top priority for the organizers. According to Ms. Bui Thi To Trinh, Deputy General Director of Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company, all fruit and food products for sale have clear origins and are strictly inspected periodically. The unit is committed to ensuring the rights and health of consumers, creating a safe, friendly and trustworthy festival space for visitors.

According to Ms. Bui Thi To Trinh, previous festivals at Suoi Tien attracted 800,000 to 1,000,000 visitors. This year, the unit expects to reach 80% of the number of visitors compared to the time before the COVID-19 pandemic. She believes that this expectation is well-founded because in addition to the series of innovative activities, the upcoming operation of metro line No. 1 will also create great convenience in connection, increasing the attractiveness of the tourist area.
This year's Southern Fruit Festival 2025, organized by Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ho Chi Minh City, promises to become a tourism and cultural highlight this summer in Ho Chi Minh City.
