(sonla.gov.vn) Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 133/CD-TTg dated August 12, 2025, the People's Committee of Son La province has just issued a document directing departments, branches, and People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on drastically and synchronously implementing tasks and solutions to achieve the economic growth target of 8% in 2025, ensuring a large balance of the economy and maintaining social stability.

Accordingly, the province has identified the focus as promoting industrial production associated with market restructuring, applying new technology, developing high-quality human resources, striving for a 6.6% growth in industrial value, and an increase in export turnover of over 8%. In the field of agriculture, forestry and fishery, Son La continues to restructure production towards sustainability, building brands, geographical indications for products, developing deep processing and ensuring food security. At the same time, the State Bank of Region 3 will deploy credit packages to support agricultural production. For services - tourism, the province focuses on stimulating consumption, promoting trade promotion, developing high-quality tourism products, striving to welcome 5.2 million visitors a year, with revenue reaching about 6,200 billion VND. Along with that, Son La focuses on attracting social investment, developing high-tech infrastructure, promoting digital transformation, innovation, and creating new production capacity for the economy.

In August 2025, localities in the province continued to implement socio-economic development tasks and state budget estimates for 2025; focused on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3; and removed difficulties and obstacles in implementing the two-level local government model. The industrial production index increased by 2.4% compared to the previous month. Total retail sales of goods are estimated at nearly 3,500 billion VND, up 0.03% compared to the previous month. The value of exported goods is estimated at 9.1 million USD. Budget revenue in the area is estimated at 470 billion VND. Disbursement results reached 2,100 billion VND, equal to 31.6% of the assigned capital plan and 34.2% of the detailed capital allocation plan. During the month, Son La province welcomed about 366 thousand tourists , with estimated revenue of 432 billion VND.

To achieve the economic growth target of 8% in 2025, in September and the last months of the year, departments, branches, and People's Committees of communes and wards will focus on overcoming the consequences of floods, restoring infrastructure, and stabilizing people's lives. Review and urge conditions to soon start construction of 12 inter-level general schools, ensuring progress, ensuring "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear authority, clear time, clear results". Promote the disbursement of public investment capital, resolutely carry out budget collection tasks, strive to collect 1,500 billion VND in state budget. At the same time, continue to reform administrative procedures to attract investment; monitor the implementation of the 2-level local government model, synthesize difficulties, problems, and shortcomings to guide and resolve to ensure smooth, stable, uninterrupted operations to serve the people and carry out political tasks in the area.
