Promote propaganda, promote traditional culture, develop tourism in ethnic minority areas

The plan attached to this decision clearly states the purpose of raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, people of all walks of life, village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people and ethnic minorities in the work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with local tourism development.

Inform, propagate and widely promote typical traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities; tourism promotion and promotion programs in ethnic minority and mountainous areas combined with research and survey of tourism potential, selecting and developing typical tourism products for ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires the development of content that ensures timeliness, scientificity , suitability and practicality for beneficiaries; effectively serves propaganda and cultural-information work at the grassroots level; and harmoniously balances topics and types of propaganda.

Prioritize forms of propaganda, introduction and promotion of effective models of preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural identity of each region, area and ethnic group associated with the development of community tourism to create income for people, improve the spiritual and cultural life of the people, affirm the role and position of cultural preservation as a driving force for socio -economic development in the locality, suitable for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas.

Promote propaganda to raise awareness, management capacity and organization of cultural and artistic activities; meet the requirements of propaganda of political tasks; encourage ethnic minorities to promote their role as the main subject in preserving and promoting the cultural identity of their nation. The plan is implemented to ensure progress, efficiency and economy.

The plan also clearly states some specific contents such as: Propagating and promoting traditional culture, developing tourism in ethnic minority areas through Vietnam Television (VTV); Propagating and promoting culture and tourism in ethnic minority areas through the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) television channel.

In this Plan, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Department of Ethnic Culture to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to proactively organize the implementation of tasks, ensuring quality and progress according to the approved Plan./.
