According to the report, the Coastal Road project connecting the East-West Economic Corridor has so far handed over 31.6/48km, reaching 66%; it is expected that in the third quarter of 2025, an additional 10.76km will be handed over, the remaining sections within the residential land and housing area of 5.45km will be completed and handed over in 2026.
Regarding construction and installation, up to now, 4/4 bid packages have been simultaneously implemented with an implementation value of about 598/1,616 billion VND, reaching 37%.
For the coastal road project through Cua Tung and Cua Viet bridges, passing through the area of 3 communes of Cua Tung, Ben Hai and Nam Cua Viet, 305 households/472 plots of land were affected, 312 graves were forced to be relocated. To date, there has been a notice of land recovery and an inventory of 87/230 plots of land in Cua Tung commune.
Currently, these two projects are facing some difficulties related to the arrangement of local human resources for site clearance; the work of determining the origin of land use is still slow and the transfer of tasks after implementing the 2-level local government model is not really timely. Along with that, there are difficulties in the supply of embankment materials, lack of initiative in arranging equipment and human resources of contractors, affecting the project progress...
After checking and listening to reports and recommendations from relevant units and localities, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam requested investors and construction units to seriously implement the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, upholding the sense of responsibility in implementing key projects and works. In particular, it is necessary to simultaneously and urgently complete resettlement areas to stabilize people's lives. Particularly for the resettlement area of the old Trieu Do commune, he requested contractors to increase their workforce, carry out construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams to complete the infrastructure and hand it over to people before August 31.
For households temporarily residing, local authorities coordinate with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to care for and support people to stabilize their thoughts and lives.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam also requested local authorities and construction units to strengthen coordination, commit to specific implementation time for each item and ensure compliance with the commitment. Along with that, relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities must proactively review the progress, report weekly to the Provincial People's Committee for timely handling; at the same time, there must be specific sanctions for contractors who do not comply with the committed progress.
