On the morning of November 29, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Appraisal Council held a meeting to review and propose recognition of communes meeting new rural standards (NTM), advanced NTM, and model NTM in 2024. Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vice Chairman of the Council chaired the meeting.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, up to now, the dossier requesting consideration and recognition of Van Thanh commune as meeting the new rural standards; Van Binh commune, Van Thang commune as meeting the advanced new rural standards; Van Phu commune as meeting the model new rural standards in 2024 has been completed and has gathered sufficient evidence to demonstrate the implementation of the criteria and targets of the set of new rural and advanced new rural criteria for the period 2022 - 2025.
At the meeting, the Appraisal Council requested localities to explain the contents related to educational criteria and some contents related to data matching. Local leaders promptly accepted and explained specifically and clearly.

As a result of the vote, 29/29 council members attending the meeting unanimously proposed the Provincial People's Committee to decide to recognize Van Thanh commune as meeting the NTM standards; Van Binh commune, Van Thang commune as meeting the advanced NTM standards and Van Phu commune as meeting the exemplary NTM standards in 2024. Thus, Van Phu commune became the first commune in the province to be proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to decide to recognize a exemplary NTM commune. On behalf of the council, Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang proposed that the People's Committee of Van Ninh district promote the achieved results, maintain and continuously improve the NTM criteria, focus on completing the documents and procedures to propose consideration and recognition of Van Ninh district as meeting the NTM standards in 2024. Localities, departments, branches and sectors continue to focus on drastically implementing the completion of the appraisal work for the remaining communes in the NTM task in 2024; the Provincial NTM Coordination Office completes the procedures, advises the province to propose the province to consider and recognize these 4 communes.
