Proposing the Party Central Committee to discipline Mr. Do Trong Hung

The Politburo proposed that the Party Central Committee discipline Mr. Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, for serious violations during his tenure as Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

According to the Party Central Office, on September 26, at the Party Central headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat met to consider disciplinary action against party organizations and party members who violated the law at the request of the Central Inspection Committee .

The Politburo proposed that the Party Central Committee discipline Mr. Do Trong Hung, former Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

The Politburo and the Secretariat found that the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term (from the beginning of the term to September 2024) violated the principle of democratic centralism, Party regulations, and working regulations.

At the same time, lax leadership and direction, lack of inspection and supervision allowed the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and many Party organizations and Party members, including key officials of the province, to violate Party regulations and State laws in leadership, direction, and organization of land, resource, and mineral management, in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; and violate regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

The above violations cause serious consequences, risk of large loss of state budget, bad public opinion, and reduce the reputation of party organizations and local authorities.

Regarding individuals, the Politburo and the Secretariat assessed that during his tenure as a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Do Trong Hung violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, and in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.

Mr. Do Trong Hung also violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very bad effects on the reputation of the party organization and local government.

During his tenure as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, Mr. Do Minh Tuan violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity. Mr. Do Minh Tuan also violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very bad effects on the reputation of the Party organization and local government.

Messrs. Nguyen Van Thi, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee , Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province; Le Anh Xuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee; Tran Anh Chung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa city; Tran Van Thuc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province; Pham Quoc Nam, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Lieu province (now Ca Mau province); Bui Quoc Nam, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Health of Bac Lieu province (now Ca Mau province); Pham Tan Hoang, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Phu Yen province, Deputy Chief Justice of the High People's Court in Da Nang, has degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; Violating Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks; violating regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very negative impact on the reputation of the Party organization and the agency or unit.

From there, the Politburo decided to discipline the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee with a warning for the 2020-2025 term (until September 2024). The Politburo also requested the Party Central Committee to consider and discipline Mr. Do Trong Hung according to its authority.

The Secretariat decided to expel from the Party the following: Nguyen Van Thi, Le Anh Xuan, Tran Anh Chung, Tran Van Thuc, Pham Quoc Nam, Bui Quoc Nam, Pham Tan Hoang; and remove Do Minh Tuan from all Party positions.

The Politburo and Secretariat requested competent authorities to promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
