On the afternoon of June 7th, approximately 6,900 candidates took specialized subject exams to compete for a spot in the specialized classes of six high schools.
The following are exam papers for specialized, integrated subjects for 10th grade at specialized schools in Ho Chi Minh City:
Students applying to specialized 10th-grade classes must take exams in three basic subjects: Literature, Foreign Language, and Mathematics, plus a specialized subject exam. The admission score for specialized programs is the sum of the scores from the three basic subjects (weighted 1) and the score from the specialized subject exam (weighted 2).

The highest competition ratio for specialized 10th-grade classes in Ho Chi Minh City is 1/5.4 at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, meaning only one out of every six applicants is admitted. This ratio is 1/4.6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted. Additionally, Nguyen Huu Huan, Nguyen Thuong Hien, Mac Dinh Chi, and Gia Dinh High Schools all have 5-6 specialized classes, with competition ratios ranging from 1/2.3 to 1/3.4.
The results of the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City are expected to be announced on June 20th. Following that, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will announce the cut-off scores for specialized and integrated classes on June 24th. The cut-off scores for regular 10th grade classes will be announced on July 10th.
