Proposal to increase investment capital for Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway Phase 1

Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway is expected to be basically completed in 2025 and put into synchronous operation from 2026.

The total investment of the project is proposed to increase by more than VND3,700 billion, from VND17,837 billion to VND21,551 billion. The main reason for the capital increase is due to the cost of compensation and site clearance increasing by VND3,227 billion after measuring, re-counting and adjusting the compensation unit price according to the actual situation in Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. In addition, the addition of the intersection with My Xuan-Ngai Giao road and the adjustment of construction costs due to detailed technical surveys, optimal design and fluctuations in material prices also increased the cost by VND487 billion.

The State budget capital for the 2021-2025 period is expected to increase to VND17,124 billion, of which the central budget will increase by VND1,144 billion and the local budget will increase by VND1,710 billion. In the 2026-2030 period, the central budget will allocate an additional VND4,427 billion. Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces are committed to ensuring counterpart capital.

Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway is 53.7km long, with a scale of 4-6 lanes, divided into 3 component projects, expected to be basically completed in 2025, and put into synchronous operation from 2026.
