The Ministry of Construction has just issued a document responding to the petition of voters in Binh Phuoc province regarding the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis. According to voters in Binh Phuoc province, the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis is expected to be designed with a speed of 350km/h. Voters believe that this is a correct policy.

“However, 350km/h is a high speed, which can easily lead to danger if the road is not constructed to meet the corresponding technical and quality standards. We suggest that we consider selecting a contractor with sufficient qualifications, capacity, and potential to carry out the design and construction, so that the road is built effectively,” the voter suggested.

Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Construction said that it has carefully and thoroughly researched to select investment options and solutions to organize the implementation of the high-speed railway line on the North-South axis.

On November 10, 2024, the Minister of Construction, authorized by the Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government, submitted and received the National Assembly's approval to invest in the Project in Resolution No. 172, with a design speed of 350km/h.

“Because this is a strategic project, creating a breakthrough momentum for socio-economic development, contributing to improving the country's competitiveness, with complex technical and technological standards, and particularly large investment resources, being implemented for the first time in Vietnam, the Ministry of Construction agrees with the voters' recommendation to study and select contractors with sufficient qualifications, capacity, and potential to carry out the design and construction, so that the road is built effectively,” the Ministry of Construction stated.
