Proposing communes and wards to manage national and city-level relics

DNO - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just proposed that the People's Committee of Da Nang City consider and agree on a plan to assign agencies, units, communes and wards to directly manage relics in the area.

Specifically, it is proposed to hand over the world cultural heritage of My Son Temple Complex to the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) for direct management; and hand over the world cultural heritage of Hoi An Ancient Town to the Hoi An Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) for direct management.

For the 4 special national relics, Dong Duong Buddhist Monastery relic will be handed over to Dong Duong Commune People's Committee for direct management; Truong Son Road - Ho Chi Minh Road relic (component relics including Kham Duc, Ben Giang, Bu Lach Pass) will be handed over to Kham Duc, Ben Giang, Tay Giang Commune People's Committees for direct management; Dien Hai Citadel relic will be handed over to Da Nang Museum for direct management; Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic will be handed over to Ngu Hanh Son Ward People's Committee for direct management.

Regarding 84 national relics, in addition to 3 relics including the Memorial House of Comrade Vo Chi Cong, the Cham tower of Khuong My and the Cham tower of Chien Dan, the Management Board of Relics and Museums of Quang Nam (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) is directly responsible for management; the remaining relics are directly responsible for management by the People's Committees of wards and communes.

Similarly, 473 city-level relics and 170 relics have been included in the list of relics registered for protection and assigned to the People's Committees of wards and communes with relics for direct management.

As for the relic of the Vu Hung Guerrilla Team's establishment site - the predecessor of the armed forces of Quang Nam province (old), due to its special significance and nature, it is assigned to the Da Nang City Military Command for direct management; the Cham Sculpture Museum relic is assigned to the exploitation unit for direct management.
