Charity concert "Melody from the heart"

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Doctors organize a music night to call for meals for poor patients. The Thanh Hoa Plate of Rice on the Wall Club has become a warm support, bringing meaningful meals to hundreds of thousands of poor and disadvantaged patients, helping them overcome the burden of illness with love and sharing from the community.

On the evening of June 7, in Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Rice Plate on the Wall Club organized a charity music night with the theme "Melody from the heart", calling on donors and benefactors to support free meals for patients in difficult circumstances being treated at hospitals in Thanh Hoa province.

Thanh Hoa Rice Plate on the Wall Club was officially launched and put into operation on June 6, 2020, licensed by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross. This idea was inspired by the “Cup of Coffee on the Wall” model in Venice, Italy, but adjusted to suit the essential needs of meals for patients in Vietnam.

The birth of the Club is a continuation of the success of the "Plate of rice on the wall" model that has been operating effectively in provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh , Dak Lak, Da Nang, carrying the humane message "each plate of rice has a heart", the program has received the attention and support of many golden hearts, businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province.

The club's goal is to provide free, hot, delicious and hygienic meals to patients and their families in difficult circumstances at hospitals in the province. During its 5 years of operation, the club has received support from many organizations and individuals, with a total donation of up to 3.5 billion VND. With this valuable resource, the club has given away nearly 133,000 free meals (equivalent to 3.3 billion VND), helping patients overcome the pain of illness and soon reintegrate into the community.

The entire operation of the Club is maintained entirely based on voluntary contributions from benefactors, businesses and philanthropists from within and outside the province. All donations are used for a single purpose: paying for monthly meals for patients, ensuring transparency and building strong trust from the community.

With the desire to multiply the number of free meals for poor patients, especially those who have to undergo long-term treatment in the following years, the charity music night “Melody from the Heart” successfully auctioned two paintings to raise funds, attracting a large number of participants and raising hundreds of millions of VND.

This is the part that receives a lot of participation from sponsors, contributing significantly to the success of the music night in particular and the club's activities in general, thereby creating a bridge for philanthropists to give love, helping patients have more motivation and confidence to overcome illness.

Head of the “Plate of Rice on the Wall Thanh Hoa” Club Ha Hoang Minh said: Initially, the Club focused on supporting seriously ill children at Thanh Hoa Children’s Hospital, then expanded to Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital; Yen Dinh District General Hospital; Thanh Hoa Mental Hospital, where patients often receive little attention. These meals not only help fill the stomach but also are a great source of spiritual encouragement, soothe the pain and give hope to patients and their relatives.

Thanh Hoa Rice Plates on the Wall Club has a compassionate vision with the hope that these loving meals will last until there are no more needy patients. To realize this aspiration, the Club always needs the cooperation and support of individuals, organizations and philanthropists. Every contribution, big or small, is a valuable resource for the Club to continue its noble mission, bringing warmth and hope to the less fortunate.
