On the evening of October 28th, serious landslides occurred in multiple locations on National Highway 20, specifically the section through D'Ran Pass ( Lam Dong province), with the most severe damage occurring near the suspension bridge at Km262+400.
Large amounts of soil, rocks, and pine trees have fallen onto the road, disrupting traffic and posing a high risk to people and vehicles.
Observations at the scene revealed that the landslide at the suspension bridge showed cracks in the road surface approximately 5cm wide, and the road surface was uneven and warped.
According to feedback from groups of drivers, cars cannot pass through the landslide area, and stopping to wait for the road to be cleared could increase the danger due to the risk of further landslides, especially if heavy rain continues.
Driver groups on social media have been spreading warnings about the dangers.

The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, in coordination with local forces, has set up barricades to temporarily halt traffic in both directions between Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat and D'Ran Commune to ensure safety. At the same time, authorities are providing remote guidance.
According to the directions, vehicles coming from Khanh Hoa (formerly Ninh Thuan area) to Da Lat should follow National Highway 27, turn right at Finom intersection onto National Highway 20, then choose either Prenn Pass or Mimosa Pass to reach Da Lat city.
The 10km-long D'ran Pass is located on National Highway 20 and features many dangerous curves. It connects the urban area of Da Lat with the Song Pha Pass on National Highway 27, forming the Da Lat - Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) route.
