Previously, the school expected the minimum score for the semiconductor industry to be 24, and the math score to be no less than 8. However, in the latest announcement this afternoon (July 21), the school has removed this regulation.
Accordingly, for the semiconductor technology training program, the school requires a floor score of 20.
The threshold score to ensure input quality (floor score for admission) based on the results of the high school graduation exam and the threshold to ensure input quality for other admission methods are converted to a 30-point scale for regular university training programs in 2025 of the University of Science as follows:

The threshold score to ensure input quality is the total score of 3 exams (according to the corresponding combination) plus bonus points, regional and subject priority points (if any) according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
The threshold score to ensure input quality for other admission methods is converted to a 30-point scale plus bonus points, regional and subject priority points (if any) according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In 2025, the University of Science has a total enrollment target of more than 2,400 for 28 majors, an increase of nearly 600 compared to last year.
The industry with the highest number of indicators is biotechnology (QHT09) with 190 indicators. The industry with the lowest indicators is oceanography (QHT17); water resources and environment (QHT92); geology (QHT18) with 25 indicators.
In addition, the specific enrollment quotas for each major are as follows:
30 indicators: physical geography (QHT10); geospatial information science (QHT91); meteorology and climatology (QHT16);
50 indicators: environment, health and safety (QHT82);
60 indicators: mathematics (QHT01); computer science (QHT02); data science (QTH93); biopharmaceuticals (QHT81)
75 indicators: nuclear engineering technology (QHT05)
80 indicators: environmental engineering technology (QHT15);
90 indicators: land management (QHT12); urban development and real estate management (QHT95); environmental science (QHT13);
120 indicators: computer science and information (QHT98); materials science (QHT04); semiconductor technology (QHT99); chemical engineering technology (QHT07); pharmaceutical chemistry (QHT43); biology (QHT08); food science and technology (QHT96); resource and environmental management (QHT20)
125 indicators: electronics and information technology (QHT94)
130 credits: physics (QHT03)
150 indicators: chemistry (QHT06)
In 2025, the University of Science will keep the same 6 admission methods as last year, including:
Method 1: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 2: Considering the 2025 high school graduation exam results meeting the entrance threshold according to the school's regulations
Method 3: Consider the results of the Hanoi National University's HSA exam, with candidates scoring 65/150 points.
Method 4: Using SAT results (certificate of ability assessment for university entrance in the US), the minimum required score is 1,100/1,600.
Candidates' results will be converted to a 30-point scale. A 1,200 SAT score is equivalent to 22.5; and 1,504 is 28.2.
Method 5: Consider combining IELTS from 5.5 (or equivalent) with high school graduation exam score. Certificate score will be converted to replace English subject in the combination.
Method 6: Consider the agreement, university preparatory, admission according to the Admission Regulations and Admission Guidelines of VNU.
