Mr. Tran Tien Thanh, a literature specialist at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said: "This year's Growing Up with Books contest offers experiences ranging from listening, speed reading to creativity.
The purpose of the above process is not only to practice reading skills but also to spread the love of books among secondary school students. In a limited time, to choose a meaningful book to send to a friend requires students to have fast reading skills.
Through this, students develop reading skills that can be applied in their studies… On the other hand, experiential activities also help students develop teamwork spirit. Students must discuss and choose appropriate books," Mr. Thanh shared.
