
In early August, center staff received information that tourist MSS (Indian nationality) had lost her passport while traveling in Da Nang ; they then coordinated with relevant authorities and units to verify the information and return the passport to the tourist.
Mr. MSS shared: “When I first found out I had lost my passport, I was very worried because it's an important document and my return home was fast approaching. Finding my passport was a great stroke of luck. The dedication and prompt assistance of the staff at the Tourist Support Center helped me quickly resolve the issue and feel at ease continuing my journey home.”
In addition to locating lost items, the center also provides tourist information, suggesting places to eat and have fun that suit travelers' itineraries, right at the information counters at the airport.
Ms. Nguyen Kim Huong, a tourist from Ninh Binh , expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm of the staff who quickly resolved tourists' questions, bringing convenience, reliability, and satisfaction to their travel experience.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, said that in the first six months of 2025, the Tourist Support Center welcomed 35,100 visitors at its offices and information counters at Da Nang International Airport. The center also received and processed 3,330 calls, 234 emails, and 896 messages via social media applications.
With the goal of meeting the information needs of tourists and improving service quality, the center actively provides diverse support services, including providing destination information such as advice on tourist attractions, events, and unique festivals in Da Nang and the surrounding areas; assisting with transportation and services by providing information on transportation options, accommodation bookings, and recommendations for reputable restaurants and eateries; receiving and resolving complaints related to service quality and prices, especially in situations that may affect the tourist experience…
In addition, the center is piloting an AI-powered travel assistant at information counters at Da Nang airport, helping tourists receive quick and accurate information.
Ms. Tham added that after the merger, Da Nang's tourism space expanded, and the number of visitors inquiring about information increased significantly, including information about Da Nang and the former Quang Nam.
Tourists are not only looking for information related to popular destinations, but also about transportation, ticket prices, festivals, events, and tourist maps of Da Nang and Quang Nam (formerly).
Currently, the Danang Visitor Center has two main offices at 18 Hung Vuong Street (Hai Chau Ward) and 49 Phan Chau Trinh Street (Hoi An Ward), and two information counters at Danang International Airport.
