Located right on the banks of the majestic Da River, in Nam Nhun district, Lai Chau province, King Le Loi Temple is where the treasure of Hoai Lai Stele of King Le is kept during the war to suppress the rebellion in the Northwest region nearly 600 years ago.
The temple of King Le Thai To was built to commemorate the merits of the national hero Le Loi - who had the merit of suppressing the rebellion in the Northwest region.
The memorial site of King Le Thai To is located in two communes: Le Loi and Pu Dao, 110km southwest of Lai Chau city center. The site was ranked as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism according to Decision No. 218/QD - BVHTTDL dated January 23, 2017.
The relic has an area of about 2.4 hectares, including a number of items arranged on the overall ground with a total area of about 500 m2. The architectural complex includes the Tam Quan gate built in the style of 2 vertical pillars; Nghi Mon; main yard; stele house and temple area. Around the campus, there are green trees and souvenir trees.

In the relic complex, there is a National Treasure: King Le Thai To Stele - Hoai Lai Ancient Stele, recognized by the Prime Minister as a national treasure in the 5th period of 2016 in Decision No. 2496/QD-TTg dated December 22, 2016 of the Prime Minister .
In 2009, the stele was drilled out of the Pu Huoi Cho cliff, creating a large block of stone weighing over 15 tons. In 2012, the stele was moved to its current location, 500m from its original location.
The King Le Thai To stele is the embodiment of the Ma Nhai stele style (one of the rare and precious forms of stele in our country today); the stele is a priceless asset, a cultural aspect of the country and locality with special, rare and typical value, a unique original artifact with a unique form and special value related to important historical events of the country, to the career of national hero Le Loi, a work of art with historical and humanistic value... Currently, the King Le Thai To stele has been made into 3 versions: One version was placed by Lai Chau province at Le Loi Temple (Lai Chau City, Lai Chau Province); one version was presented to the Le Thai To Monument in Hanoi and one version was presented to Thanh Hoa province, solemnly placed in the premises of the Lam Kinh Historical Relic Management Board, Tho Xuan District.
