(NADS) - Giang Son Mother Goddess Hill is not only an attractive destination for tourists who want to explore the beauty of Dak Lak but also a place to soothe their worries, giving them a sense of peace and tranquility.

Pilgrimage is a special journey, where souls seek closeness to religion and experience spiritual values. On the land of Dak Lak, a place that cannot be missed when talking about pilgrimage tourism is Giang Son Mother Hill - in Krong Buk district, Dak Lak province.

The statue of Our Lady of Giang Son is 6.32 meters high, sculpted by artist Dinh Van Luong from Phat Diem parish, Saigon Diocese. The Virgin Mary's face is depicted as a symbol of mercy and gentleness. On the Virgin Mary's head, there are twelve stars symbolizing the clans of the people of Israel.

Dak Lak, with its wild beauty and peaceful atmosphere, has become an ideal destination for those who seek peace and spirituality. And at Giang Son Mother Hill, a sacred space bestowed by nature, visitors will be immersed in the majestic scenery of the surrounding mountains and forests.

The monument is built on a rocky hill with an altitude of 823m above sea level. The road from the foot of the hill to Giang Son Mother of God Hill is steep, more than 3m wide and about 1.5km long, completely paved with stone. On both sides of the road are rows of green trees and orchards, creating a quiet and poetic scene.

The statue of Our Lady of Giang Son has a direct view of Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak . Our Lady of Giang Son hill is located on the top of Giang Son mountain, 30km southeast of Buon Ma Thuot city on Highway 27 to Da Lat. This is a pilgrimage center of the Diocese of Ban Me Thuot.

In 1960, the priests of Buon Ma Thuot Diocese chose Giang Son Mountain, a famous place with wild beauty and quiet natural environment, as the place to place the statue of the Virgin Mary. The statue of the Virgin Mary was started by Father Giuse Nguyen Huu Nghi in 1961. After two years of construction, on August 13-15, 1963, Father Gioan Baotixita Tran Thanh Ngoan presided over the inauguration ceremony, attracting a large number of local people and tourists.

Since then, Giang Son Mother of God Hill has become one of the most famous spiritual tourist destinations in Vietnam, attracting many visitors to pray and experience the love of the Virgin Mary. This work has also been continuously maintained and renovated, becoming one of the attractive religious tourist destinations in Dak Lak."
