Easing difficulties
In the small house in Hoang Gian residential area, Tran Nhan Tong ward, the atmosphere becomes warmer every time members of the volunteer group from Hai Linh Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. visit.
Nguyen Thi Thoa was one of the first cases to be sponsored by the group. In 2019, on her way to school, she was unfortunately involved in a traffic accident, suffering a traumatic brain injury and partial paralysis. This unexpected event made the already difficult lives of the mother and daughter even harder, as her mother, Dao Thi Linh, was in poor health and lacked stable employment.
In 2020, the Hai Linh Company's volunteer group began sponsoring Thoa. Since then, the support has been maintained regularly every month, along with visits and encouragement, providing the family with additional strength. Beyond supporting treatment costs, this timely attention has helped the mother and daughter feel more secure during this most difficult period.
After undergoing six surgeries, although still weak, Thoa's health has shown positive improvements. The lives of mother and daughter are gradually becoming more stable. Ms. Dao Thi Linh shared that the help from the volunteer group and benefactors has helped the family reduce the financial burden and provided better conditions for caring for and treating her daughter. "There were times when it seemed impossible to overcome, but thanks to everyone's care and help, my daughter and I have more faith to keep trying. I'm just happy that my daughter is getting healthier every day," Ms. Linh said emotionally.
In An Hung village, Lac Phuong commune, the three sisters Pham Thi An Duyen, Pham Gia Bao, and Pham Thi An Nhi also face many hardships. After their father passed away in 2024 due to illness, the three sisters live with their mother, Nguyen Thi Diep, in a small house located on the riverbank, surrounded by empty land with little traffic. Their unstable income from working as factory workers near home has left the family in poverty, constantly struggling to make ends meet.
In that situation, the Hai Linh Company's volunteer group sponsored all three sisters, providing monthly financial support to help them with their studies and living expenses. Although the support wasn't substantial, it was provided regularly, helping to alleviate the family's financial burden. In addition, visits and encouragement brought warmth and motivation, encouraging the children to persevere and continue their education.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Nhai, Vice President of the Women's Union of Lac Phuong commune, said that Ms. Diep's family is one of the particularly disadvantaged cases in the locality. The support of the enterprise not only helps improve living conditions but also serves as an important source of moral encouragement, giving the children more opportunities for education and a stable life.
Spreading the spirit of sharing

Beyond supporting individual cases, the Hai Linh Company's volunteer group also maintains long-term, stable sponsorship activities for disadvantaged children. This is identified as a core focus, with the desire to create a sustainable foundation so that these children can study and develop with peace of mind.
Currently, the group is sponsoring 22 orphans in the area, providing each child with 500,000 VND per month. This funding comes from contributions from the group's members, demonstrating the voluntary spirit and social responsibility of each individual within the company. Although the value of each contribution is not large, it is maintained regularly, helping the children cover their daily living and educational expenses. Besides material support, the group also regularly visits and monitors the children's studies and lives to offer timely encouragement and support. This close attention helps the children feel a long-term companionship, thereby giving them more motivation to strive for a better future.
Mr. Dinh Ngoc Tu, representative of the Hai Linh Company's volunteer group, said: "All operating expenses are voluntarily contributed by the members of the group. We hope that this support, however small, when sustained over the long term, will help the children have better learning conditions, gradually stabilize their lives, and look towards the future."
Accompanying businesses in these activities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, an officer from the Internal Security Department (Hai Phong City Police), assessed that maintaining support for disadvantaged children over the long term is a practical and effective approach. Beyond providing financial assistance, the activities demonstrate close attention and contribute to helping these children stabilize their lives and focus on their studies.
Through their persistent and practical efforts, the volunteer group of Hai Linh Company is gradually spreading the spirit of mutual support and compassion within the community. Beyond providing material value, these actions also contribute to instilling confidence and helping many underprivileged children to confidently pursue their education and look towards a better future.
