Speaking at the forum, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam said: Journalists at this time do not only work on content, but also need to have knowledge about e-commerce, advertising, and revenue trends related to cash flow in cyberspace. To get press revenue from State agencies, the press must also improve itself to receive revenue and receive orders from the State.

Participating in this discussion session, representatives of press and television agencies commented that, given the current economic situation in the world and in the country, which has been and is in recession, and the ability to recover slowly, advertising revenue of press agencies continues to decline.

The current solution is for press agencies to make efforts to overcome difficulties, focus on producing press programs and works that are aimed at the public and of public interest; invest in digital press production on the basis of maintaining the principle of ensuring the implementation of political tasks, harmoniously combining revenue growth with the functions and political tasks of press agencies.

According to the speakers, businesses must realize that their own interests are part of the overall common interests of the industry, the region, the nation and the entire socio-economic system. Participating with the press in projects and communication programs, contributing to solving social, environmental and cultural issues, etc. is a deep and sustainable cooperation.
