Information from the investor, by the end of November the bridge section (main route) will be completed, the road section will be constructed from unloaded sections, the entire project is expected to be completed, and the main route will be put into operation before December 19, 2025.

The Can Tho - Ca Mau Expressway Project started construction in early 2023, with a scale of 4 lanes, a 17 m wide road surface, a design speed of 100 km/h; total investment capital from the budget of over 27,000 billion VND. When the project is put into operation, it will greatly facilitate Ca Mau in traffic, transporting goods, and connecting trade.
Luong The Tran canal overpass, part of the expressway connecting to National Highway 1, has been formed.
This project also satisfies the aspirations of Ca Mau people for a local highway, which has strategic significance in helping to shorten the distance to the country's major economic centers, creating a driving force to promote the province's socio-economic breakthrough development. It will be further enhanced when connecting the Ca Mau - Dat Mui highway, the traffic route to Hon Khoai dual-use general port, opening the door to the open sea, making Ca Mau become a dynamic development pole in the southernmost part of the country.
The expressway passes through Tri Phai commune at the Huyen Su canal overpass. This is one of two large bridges on the expressway in Ca Mau, with a branch connecting to National Highway 63.
