In Ca Mau, although the number of recent incidents is not many, it has left many concerns. A small fight, an online conflict, an unintentional teasing... can all become the spark for behavior that gets out of control. Although the government and the education sector promptly handle the situation, the bigger question still arises: Can we wait until there are more victims before taking action?

In many meetings and speeches, education leaders emphasized that school violence is a direct challenge for the entire system, not just the responsibility of schools or families. The directives revolve around three pillars: early prevention, timely detection, and effective intervention. This is not a slogan, but a mandatory requirement to protect the safety of students.

Resolution 71/NQ-CP on education innovation clearly defines the orientation: building a safe and humane learning environment; enhancing students' emotional and social capacity; enhancing the responsibility of family - school - society; tightening discipline and codes of conduct. The consistent message is: there can be no quality education if students live in fear of violence. That is an important legal foundation for localities, including Ca Mau , to strongly apply.

Let’s face it, school violence is not simply a result of “hot temper”. It is the result of many factors: lack of communication skills, psychological pressure, negative influence from social networks, indifference of adults, and the distorted thinking that considers strength as a way to protect oneself. No reason can justify the act of abusing others.

To stop this spiral, schools need to immediately implement solutions that cannot be delayed: closely monitor students' psychology as a risk management task; standardize life skills education and emotional management skills; strengthen legal education so that students clearly understand the consequences of their behavior; build a healthy working environment, create opportunities for experience and cooperation; establish a safety reporting mechanism for students, teachers and parents.

Collective activities not only educate knowledge but also create a spirit of solidarity and unity among students. However, the school cannot stand alone. The family must be more present in the spiritual life of the child. Besides the question “What did you learn today?”, parents need to pay attention to “Are you okay today?”, “What worries you?”, “How do you resolve conflicts?”. The companionship of the family is the first and most important line of defense.

We cannot control all social media, but we can change the behavior in our own classrooms. We cannot eliminate all conflicts, but we can choose better ways to resolve them. The fight against school violence will only be successful when each student does not see it as “adult business”, but as their own responsibility.
