Cultural performance to welcome with strong identity

In his opening speech, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized: Lam Dong is a special locality of the country - a place where majestic nature, colorful culture and strong aspirations converge. With Da Lat city as the center, Lam Dong is not only the "heart" of Central Highlands tourism but is gradually shaping its role as a green, creative and friendly growth pole of the Central Highlands region and the whole country.

In the context of the country's strong transformation, Lam Dong is emerging as a fairly developed province in the country, with GRDP per capita reaching over 100 million VND, and impressive labor productivity growth. High-tech agriculture plays a key role, tourism continues to be a bright spot with the brand of Flower Festival City, UNESCO Creative City and many national and international cultural and sports festivals.

Implementing the Central strategy, Lam Dong is actively reorganizing administrative units, building a two-level local government, and restructuring the development space. In particular, the merger of the three provinces of Lam Dong - Binh Thuan - Dak Nong will open up a new development horizon for this land. The new province will be the largest in the country, converging all the elements of "sea - forest - border - island", possessing diverse natural resources, leading agricultural output in the country, and at the same time having great potential for developing renewable energy and deep processing.

In the new development phase, Lam Dong province has identified three main pillars: culture - tourism - trade. This is not only a key economic sector but also a creative space to converge intelligence, identity, technology and social resources.

The forum discussed in depth major issues such as: Making culture a spiritual foundation and endogenous driving force for development; How tourism can not only recover after the pandemic but also transform into a green, smart model, connecting more deeply with agriculture, creative industries and the community; How can trade and services truly become a bridge for sustainable development, linked to the startup ecosystem, digital transformation, and global value chains.

At the forum, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly affirmed: In recent years, Lam Dong has been an impressive bright spot in the fields of tourism, high-tech agriculture, specialty products, and innovative startups. However, in response to development requirements, Lam Dong needs to transform itself more strongly, from "potential" to "real value", from "individual" to "ecosystem linkage", from "remote province" to "regional dynamic province".

In the national development strategy, the Government clearly identifies: Culture is the spiritual foundation of society, tourism is a comprehensive economic sector with high added value, trade is the driving force for promoting production and consumption, expanding domestic and international markets. Lam Dong province needs to effectively exploit these three pillars with the following strategic directions:

Firstly, develop cultural industry and creative economy; arouse, preserve and promote indigenous cultural values, national heritage, folk art combined with modern technology; culture is not only the soul of the nation, but also a resource for economic development.

Second, build Lam Dong tourism brand in the direction of green - smart - experience - identity. Develop high-quality tourism, based on the advantages of ecology, climate, architecture, festivals, cuisine and community.

Third, modernize the trade, logistics and digital trading systems. Strongly connect agricultural products, specialties and OCOP products with domestic and international markets. Focus on strategic markets such as Korea, Japan, Europe and the United States.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Lam Dong province continue to promote institutional reform, improve the investment environment, enhance the effectiveness of public administration, build digital government, online public services, and create maximum convenience for businesses and people. Proactively develop a new provincial plan after the merger of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (after being approved by the National Assembly), in conjunction with the development strategy of the expanded Central Highlands region. The plan needs to integrate spaces for cultural development, tourism, ecological urban areas, and creative industries.

Strongly develop the local innovation and startup ecosystem; strongly connect with localities in the region, form economic corridors - sea - plateau - border tourism, attract strategic investment, synchronously develop digital infrastructure, traffic infrastructure and logistics. With the spirit of determination, innovation, daring to think, daring to do, Lam Dong province will rise strongly, becoming a green, comprehensive and unique development center of the region and the whole country.

Experts and scientists discussed and suggested many enthusiastic ideas to develop the new Lam Dong province after the merger.
