On June 13, Tan Binh District Police (HCMC) is coordinating with relevant units to investigate the cause of the electrocution that killed two people.
Where the incident occurred
According to initial information, at around 8:30 p.m. on June 12, residents living on Au Co Street (Ward 10, Tan Binh District) saw a house that was also a shop specializing in repairing and upgrading vintage Vespas emitting heavy smoke and a burning smell. They went to check and saw two men lying motionless on the corrugated iron roof, suspecting they had been electrocuted, so they called the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force coordinated with Tan Binh District Police and medical staff to arrive at the scene. After that, the electricity in the entire area was temporarily turned off to save the victims, but they had already died.
It is known that it was raining at the time. Before that, two men were said to have climbed onto the metal roof of the auto repair shop to check the power lines, then the incident happened.
One of the two victims was the owner of an old Vespa shop named H. (about 54 years old), the other was his nephew about 30 years old.
On the afternoon of June 13, the police were present at the house to investigate.
Also related to the electrical accident, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , on the morning of June 6, a man about 30 years old went to a house on Le Thi Rieng Street (Ben Thanh Ward, District 1) to install a stainless steel water tank on the 4th floor.
Then, the people in the house heard screams on the 4th floor so they ran up and found the man lying unconscious on the floor.
They tried to save him and called the authorities. Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived at the scene to provide first aid, but the man could not be saved.
