DNVN - Since July 1st, Da Nang Power Company - a branch of the Central Vietnam Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has been established, and simultaneously, the merger of Quang Nam Power Company into Da Nang Power Company has also been completed.

On this new journey, Da Nang Power Company (DNPC), with many changes in management scale, operating model, and human resources, has been striving to fulfill its production, business, and investment plan for 2025, ensuring electricity supply for Da Nang City during its period of growth.

Da Nang City currently covers an area of ​​over 11,860 km², with a population of 3.06 million people. With its expanding development space and great potential for exploiting tourism and a multi-sector economy , maximizing its infrastructure advantages, it is expected to become an important growth pole of the country.

Currently, the city is supplied with power from the following substations: 500kV Da Nang, 500kV Doc Soi, 500kV Thanh My; 220kV Hoa Khanh, 220kV Hai Chau, 220kV Ngu Hanh Son, 220kV Duy Xuyen, 220kV Tam Ky, 220kV Song Tranh, 220kV Thanh My; and 35 110kV substations.

Specifically, the scope of management by DNPC is as follows: For the 110kV grid, it manages 26 substations with a capacity of 2,178MVA; for the 35kV grid, it manages 9 35/22kV substations with a capacity of 66.3MVA; 38 35/0.4kV substations with a capacity of 4.9MVA; for the 22kV grid, it manages 6,562 distribution substations with a capacity of 2,085MVA; and 12,235 km of medium and low voltage transmission lines.

Commercial electricity output in the first six months of 2025 reached 3.1 billion kWh. Of this, the consumer management sector accounted for 1.25 billion kWh, representing 40% of the load structure; industry and construction accounted for 1.19 billion kWh, 38%; commerce, hotels, and restaurants accounted for 0.5 billion kWh, 16%; other activities accounted for 0.15 billion kWh, 5%; and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries accounted for 0.04 billion kWh, 1%. There were a total of 873,270 electricity customers. The company manages 3,900 rooftop solar power systems with a capacity of 242.643 MWp.

In the first six months of the year, Da Nang Power Company (DNPC) made efforts to complete key projects, improve the grid, prevent line overload, and enhance the reliability of electricity supply throughout the area, ensuring the power grid serves people and businesses during the 2025 dry season. Specifically, 51 major repair projects and 42 construction investment projects were completed, promptly meeting the needs of customers in Da Nang City.

The final months of 2025 present demands and challenges requiring DNPC to quickly adapt to the new conditions and situation, strive to complete the tasks assigned by EVNCPC, and ensure electricity supply throughout the city. DNPC has urgently prepared in terms of organizational methods and reviewed various areas of work to ensure the fastest possible implementation of policies and directives from EVN, EVNCPC, and the city.

Operational management focuses on reviewing the power grid, ensuring electricity supply during the hot season, and preparing plans for disaster prevention and search and rescue in the remaining months of the year. Business services continue to prioritize customers, maintaining online electricity services, and implementing electricity saving measures according to set targets; working with investors of apartment buildings, urban areas, commercial-service-residential complexes, high-rise buildings, etc., on the electricity sector's policy of being ready to receive and retail electricity directly to customers; and striving to complete the targets assigned by the Corporation.

Investment and construction work continues to monitor and closely follow the progress of relocating key projects of the city and the nation such as: Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway, high-speed railway, National Highway 14E, regional connectivity in Central Vietnam…

On the challenging journey ahead, EVNCPC hopes to continue receiving close guidance and support from the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and EVNCPC; and the trust and support of the Party committees, government, and people of Da Nang so that the company can achieve its goals and tasks in the new phase, contributing to the dynamic and strong development of the city.
